Thyroid Nodules - Advice Please 🙏
I'm new here and it's my first time posting. It was noticed I had a large nodule on my thyroid while having a CT scan for an unrelated issue 5 weeks ago. I can feel a large lump on the right hand side of my neck which is also visible and an ultrasound scan has since confirmed there are several nodules

AST to ALT ratio has become greater than 1 after decades of elevated levels
My ALT and AST have been elevated for decades. For second time in a row now, my AST has becomevhigher than ALT ; they are currently in 60ish range. A very nice article i read on the DiRitiis ratio from around 2013 says my new current ratio of 1.1 suggests fibrosis and ir bad prognosis to cirrhosis

Thyroid help!
Alright it’s been a while since I posted. I had my baby in July last year and since I’ve not been taking care of myself and forgetting my levothyroxine most mornings after sleepless nights. About 8 weeks ago I switched taking my Levo in the morning to the evening as I had more time while baby was asleep

TSH declining whilst on carbimazole
hi, I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease and I am currently taking 10mg carbimazole 4 days a week and 5mg 3 days a week. I have been taking for around 20 months now and whilst my T3&T4 levels have been in normal range for ages, my TSH has only recently been detectable( after about 16 months) Anyway

Cirrhosis and gallstones
Hi Everyone. I have yet another question [sorry!] I have cirrhosis, and gallstones were picked up in my last Cat Scan. Just wondering if gallstones can increase liver enzymes in blood tests? Thank you!

strange visual ever- report
thankyou for the replies which were reassuring. Saw new GP today who as great, blood tests ordered, doesn’t seem too concerned. Also discovered for any Norfolk folks on the forum that there is a rheumatology helpline available, they were good too. Wish I had known about it sooner!

GP no help. /sigh.
Saw my GP today, after the 4 week appointment wait! I was armed with a list of physical ailments and internet research. He did at least apologise for not being helpful. Had my 70yr old mother with me as her brain seems to work better than mine at times! Got close to tears. Apparently it has to be fibromyalgia

Cancer Cell Blood Test
My oncologist has suggested I get the cancer cell blood test done. Has anyone had this test? What were the results? I have had severe side effects on all chemo and cancer drugs and my Oncologist has recommended it.

Peace of Mind
Over the past several months I've not been quite as active on the forum. This has been because I've been busy attending a host of appointments with different medical professionals, ranging from the practise nurse to various consultants, all in order to discover the cause of some uncomfortable and worrying

Inflammatory arthritis & pulmonary embolisms?
After years of x-rays on multiple joints (looking for osteoarthritis) & countless blood tests (looking for rheumatoid factor) - all of which returned negative results - I was finally diagnosed with Seronegative Inflammatory Arthritis in January. My Rheumatologist first tried methotrexate and then leflunomide

I have been on run for a few months now. Blood tests are down, perfect right now. Still fatigued though. Ears ringing like crazy but thankful. Anyone else with polycythemia have diarrhea? I am thankful for this drug, but want to feel better

raise ca125
hey , I had the ca125 blood tests and results came back at 57. Have my scan tomorrow. I am a mum of 3 young children and I’m terrified that it will be something sinister. I was on my period when I had the blood test and when I asked my Gp she said a period shouldn’t affect the results however I’ve
