Another visit to Rheumatologist…
Hi, I had a face to face appointment with my Rheumatologist yesterday. My ESR has increased to 97 and CRP 38. He said he’s very concerned about this 🙄. I’ve had 8 injections of Adalimumab since I last saw him for Ankylosing Spondylitis. He has stopped the jabs because he says they aren’t working

As mentioned before my ferritin is 13, can’t tolerate any oral form and have had infusions in the past. Am being denied infusion as Full bloods are within range, no idea what to do now, eating plenty of iron rich foods, feeling really unwell and down. Recent test results: B12=651(187-883), vit D=92(

Full blood counts
Does anyone use a blood count machine that uses just a pinprick drop of blood? The hospital my wife is under seems to use an inordinate amount of blood to test her FBC, which being so anemic she can't really afford to lose. And now the gastrointestinal consultant has decided that she shouldn't have RBCs

Four Year Review - The End in Sight, Maybe or, May Not be
The End May be in Sight, on the Other Hand it Might not be. Hi all, it is time for my annual update and the four year mark was officially the end of June, although as with many others, with the benefit of hindsight I was probably suffering from PMR for a good few weeks/months before diagnosis. It’s not

Prednisolone Reduction
Sorry but I am unable to find the very useful advice about reducing Prednisolone. My lovely lady GP has asked me to have blood tests roughly every 6 weeks and if they come back with my ESR levels in the normal range to reduce my Pred by 1 mg. So far so good but a week ago I reduced from 4 mg to 3mg and

Change to medication
Hi everyone, I have been taking 150mg of thyroxine for over 10 years. At the beginning of the year, I spoke to my doctor because my fatigue was increasing, I didn't feel like myself, and I was having heavy periods. I thought I was starting to become perimenopausal. The doctor said I was depressed

APS and leaky gut
Hello all, I am writing regarding my daughter who has APS. She has been taking rather large doses of Coumadin for about 20 years now. She eats a very healthy mostly vegetation and mostly organic diet. She has recently had a blood test that revealed a severe sensitivity to very many types of food.
