General Question re positive test lines
If you do a test on test day for fet and it were to say you were pregnant are the lines supposed to continue to get darker? Should you keep testing or just wait and do a hcg blood test? As I'm guessing how strong/diluted your urine is will also have impact on the darkness of the line? At what point would

Update Castrate Resistant Metastatic Cancer
My metastatic prostate cancer was diagnosed castrate resistant on November 1 with PSA of 0.8, which was doubling in about two months while on Lupron. On November 10 I started Abiraterone + prednisone. By December 1 my PSA dropped to 0.44 in 22 days on Abiraterone. In the next 35 days it went down to

First Rheumy Visit, Lymphocyte/Neutrophil
Luckily, my rheumatologist was one I saw while in the hospital. She listened, explained, and answered questions. She is treating me for GSA even though my biopsy was negative. I am currently on 40 mg of prednisone. I am still very fatigued, legs are heavy and weak, arms weak, some pain in right temple

got tested
hello, today I got following tests, ast, alt, bilirubin, ggt, leuktocytes, hemoglobin and all were normal now . then I assume that my so-called symptoms are not due to decompensated liver cirrhosis.. or how were your blood tests at diagnosis/symptoms (fatigue, spider nevi)(?) ☀️☀️

New Developments in My Husband's PCA Journey
Hello, I wanted to provide an update on my husband's progression and, hopefully, some of you may have some knowledge to share or have a similar profile. His psa has risen from <0.04 since RP for Stage 3b to 0.06 in 9/23. A recheck a week later showed a rise to 0.1. This was followed by a drop to <.04

Has anyone had a Jak2 Blood Test for blood disorders?
Hi I've had high Platelets for years about 20 at least on every blood test. GP always just said your Platelets are high but we know that! rheumy often mentioned it too. Recently I have been seen in Endocrinology (in a different hospital to my rheumatology team) & been having regular blood tests since

What's happening?
Trying Thyroid s for the last few weeks. Started off at half a tablet a day for about 2 weeks and then increased to 1 tablet a day. New blood test have shown liver doesn't seem to like it. Alanine transaminase 75 (range 0-34). Alkaline phosphatase 159 (range 30-130). TSH now 0.08 was 3.71, free T3 4.9

T3 only and feeling a bit desperate
I have been taking T3 only for a handful of years now and for a couple of them on a LCHF diet I was happy enough. I lost weight, and felt good. In October 2020 I restarted HRT (I still had/have) hot flushes, but within 2 months I had started to gain weight and on balance I thought that I would rather

High dose Pred side effects
Hi I’m afraid I need some advice again please. Having been diagnosed with PMR over 2 years ago, I was down to 4mg Pred although looking back I was in a lot of pain around the neck, shoulders and upper arms. I just put up with it as I wanted to get off meds. Anyway then I became aware of scalp tenderness

Barrigel is now preferred over "SpaceOAR" gel?
Consulted by video with the doctor who is supposed to install my SpaceOAR in preparation for my IMRT. His first words were "we don't use SpaceOAR gel anymore. We use Barrigel." He explains it has fewer side effects but the same radiation absorption characteristics. Here is what "UroToday" says:

“Hi Thanks everyone who responded to my last post “CLL, Alcalabrutinib, Gout & Steroids” it really does help. Usually i find myself on this site when i’m at my lowest, usually when a new side effect takes hold. My haematologist has never once accepted that what im experiencing is a side effect
