Home alone with AFib
I am a new to this forum as well as being new to dealing with AF. On this last trip to A&E, the cardiologist told me not to go to hospital unless the episode lasts more than 24 hours. As I am on my own due to the very recent sudden death of my husband, staying at home alone during what can be 12 hours

Fast forward to March this year and I have now had 5 visits to A&E( on advice from 111 and GP). The episodes

This may seem petty and unimportant but two years ago I had a stent fitted as I had a blockage in my LAD . Every morning I take 75m aspirin and 40g Atorvastatin. I usually take these after breakfast about 9.00 the an hour and a half later I feel spaced out. At night I take ramipril and

Low pulse on Bisoprolol
As I posted on here before I'm now on Bisoprolol 2.5mg only taken it for two days, but heart rate around 57 now, is that OK? I feel OK but it's lower than I ever had it before, blood pressure goes down to around 106/60 at times, but back up at end of day before next dose , will it even out it

Non STEMI
I am new here, I had a non STEMI 2 months ago and was prescribed the most common medications, I.e. Ticegralor, Bisoprolol, Artovastatin and Aspirin. I was fortunate that the angiogram and subsequent ultrasound indicated there was no apparent damage to the heart muscle and I have recovered fully. No

Low resting HR on Bisoprolol
A quick question please? I’m on a low dose of Bisoprolol at 1.25mg daily, my resting heart rate is now sub 50 BPM and regularly at 42 to 45BPM. When in Afib it sits around the 90 to 100BPM mark which although uncomfortable is just about tolerable until I revert back to NSR which these days is anywhere

Heart Rate and AF
Hi my heart rate zoomed up to over 130 normally around 57. Was in AE all day on monitor. They managed to get it back down. Increased Bisoprolol to 2.5mg. Suggested going on a blood thinner. Not to keen about that. AF went haywire but not sure why. I had just been on antibiotics for bite infection. Has

Cardioversion yesterday. On bisoprolol 7.5 for AFib but also needed post MI. Pulse 47/54. Will pulse gradually improve over next few days?
Had stemi. Cardiac arrest and stent fitted 3 months ago. Was in continuous AFib till cardio version. Bisoprolol was for AFib but also to help damaged heart muscle heal post heart attack ( best dose for that is 10mg). So trying not to decrease it. If I stay in sinus rhythm will my pulse improve?

PVCs and ablation
Hi I was booked for an ablation today but after an ECG it was unable to go ahead because there were no ectopics whereas with the Holter monitor I had 22% ectopics. Has anyone else had this experience? Also the cardiologist is recommending Flecainide to try to deal with the ectopics as Bisoprolol hasn

Covid booster side effects?
I had my Pfizer covid booster on Thursday. On Monday I woke up with AF, the first AF attack I've had in 18 months. Previously I'd been in and out of AF until the right dose of Flecainide and Bisoprolol was reached, since then I've been totally stable in SR. I also played golf that morning and had sharp

How many people taking bisoprolol and flecainide for svt?
Started with bisoprolol for my svt, I get heart rate as high as 170-196bpm. They have now included flecainide to try to help. Is anyone else on this medication for svt and does it/has it helped??? I'm hoping it does for me to save me having to go to a& e for the dreaded adenosine 😁
