Ectopic beats are a pain.
Hello everybody, hope you’re all as well as can be, 10 months post 2nd ablation and over a month ago came off of flecainide, still taking bisoprolol and apixaban. I spoke to my ep last week and said all was well was having some bumps but felt the ablation was blocking them quite well, hunky dory we both

Bisoprolol and exercise
I had a mitral valve repair and 2 bypass 2 and half years ago. One of the medication is 2.5mg bisoprolol once a day. Before my operation I played tennis twice a week for 1 and half hours a game. As I recovered I was encouraged by the medical staff to get back playing which I have done. Reading the comments

Bisoprolol
Hello everyone, you’ve probably touched on this subject before but I’ll ask anyway. Is it detrimental to change from taking bisoprolol in the morning after breakfast to in the evening after a meal? I’m on 5mg. Thank you in advance for your help. Stuart

Weaning off Bisoprolol
Hi there, Anybody else experienced difficulties weaning off Bisoprolol? I am nearly 12 months post ablation for VT and PVCs, despite a turbulent time, my ablation has been deemed a success. I have just dropped my final dose of 1.25mg ( I was originally taking 10 mg) which I have weaned off over the

Another blip
First since late December, this time didn't even have a cold or anything that usually makes the HR go up and the AF kick in. Had been at work yesterday, drank OK (I thought) and although going 8 miles around the ward didn't feel too manic. Have been a bit stressed this week with wife being on nights

Bisoprolol dose
I have been AF free for the past couple of years and unfortunately had an episode last night. I’ve got a loop recorder implant and was notified that my heart rate was 200bpm and that I would be notified of a change to my prescription- I currently take 2.5mg bisoprolol. Unfortunately my GP has not been

Link between AF and Eyesight ?
Hi, Following a successful cardioversion on the 2nd February I reverted back into persistent AF on the 22nd March. My cardiologist put me back onto 2.5mg of Bisoprolol which keeps my resting heart rate at around 70 bpm although at times in can drop to 60. Whilst in NSR I had to stop Bisoprolol completely

Morning arrhythmia for a few hours
I had a second ablation for AF and flutter in May 2021 which was deemed a success. After the first six months things settled and did not record any more AF on my Kardia. Was on Flecainide then. I have low bp, am 65 and am currently taking only Bisoprolol 1.25mg on waking. I have chronic nausea since

Was still waiting for outcome of various tests done in January following episodes of breathlessness but made decision to go to South Africa for a week's safari we'd booked having heard nothing further. Great holiday but towards end breathlessness returned with a vengence leaving me struggling to do

What is causing these awful headaches ?
Hi everyone I have been on meds since November last year after having an angiogram show I have have subtotal blockage and a moderate blockage. I was put on isosorbide mononitrate, bisoprolol, aspirin and statins. I had awful headaches so the isosorbide mononitrate was reduced but the headaches continued

High blood pressure.
I had my blood pressure taken at the pharmacy today. He said it was high. I was shocked as it has always been very good. The last time I last it taken the nurse said it was excellent. What causes high blood pressure Could it be Warfarin or Bisoprolol? Unless it could be because I have AF now?

More frequent palpatations
Hi guys again ..im.just wondering I've been on flecanide for two days now 50mg twice a day and 1.25mg of bisoprolol and I must admit I'm feeling more frequent palpatations although not as long lasting but more often than before I was taking the flecainide...is this normal until my body gets used to

Bisoprolol And Alzheimer's Disease
Interesting article in this week's The Economist, it's behind a paywall so I'll summarise. Most of the body clears out cellular waste matter via the lymphatic system. But this process doesn't work for the brain, the brain flushes itself through using the pulsing of the arteries and cerebrospinal

Diltiem vs bisoprolol
Hi. Does anyone take or has anyone heard of Diltiem as an alternative to bisoprolol? I think it’s a calcium channel blocker though I’m not sure what that means. I know someone who’s been on it for 10 years as he couldn’t tolerate bisoprolol, and I’d love to know if anyone here has any thoughts or experience

Is an asymptomatic pulse rate of 43 when sleeping too low? I’m on bisoprolol 3.75 twice a day.
Need to be on this dose of bisoprolol post heart attack/stent end of July 21. Followed by AFib and cardio version. Now paf and reduced ejection fraction. Heart rate responds well with me moving and I go to cardiac gym, swim and do Pilates with good response to heart rate. Do have some breathlessness
