Curious? Palpitation clinic
So, I've just been to Cardiac physiology to have a 24hr holter monitor fitted. Even the physiologist agreed with me that it probably wont catch anything as my symptoms can be random. He advised I ask my GP to refer me to Palpitation clinic. To be honest ive never heard of it but, if I do get a referral

Feeling heart beating/pacemaker?
Hello lovely people. I have a crt-d/pacemaker. I went to my review with the cardiologist last week and mentioned a jumping thumping feeling in my chest when resting. After a quick check the technician said that I was getting ectopic beats. My device was set to pace if my heartbeat went below 50bpm

Food and blood pressure
This is for Katomummy and others with an interest in food/digestive system. I commented recently that my paroxysmal AF is highly controlled by diet and meds. I added that 3 to 5 times a year I might get an AF hit too. I've also commented that food and bloating can trip me into AF. BUT NOT ALWAYS AS

someone help me
so for years I got occasional ectopics. Was difficult to not panic at first but I got used to them. Felt like they were bought on from the gurgles in my stomach so eating or burping helped. fast forward to two days ago and I end up in hospital as I woke up at 5am with CONSTANT ectopics. Like every 5

Just to let you know I have atrial fibrillation directly caused by hyperthyroid about 25 years ago. I had my thyroid removed eventually. About 20 years ago. I appear to be very sensitive to medication changes. So I was taking 100mcg levo 5 days and 125mcg on Monday and Friday. This was reduced

Free prescriptions
Can you get free prescriptions if on medication after heart attack? I'm on life long aspirin, candesartan, Bisoprolol, Omeprazole, rosuvastatin. Its not listed on the NHS website as one of the conditions but thyroid for example is as its life long?

horrendous muscle aches on Ramipril and Bisoprolol
hi was wondering if you could help me. I was referred to the rapid chest pain clinic as I had an episode witch I thought was just a bad case of acid reflux, a little chest pain but went quickly and a pain in my arm. I had my appointment a couple of weeks ago and my ecg was abnormal. The consultant said

Been told to stop Bisoprolol before stress test, worried how safe this is
I am having a stress test this coming Tuesday for pains I am getting on exercise. I am on on Bisoprolol 1.25 mg a day, and have been told to stop for 48 hours before. Very nervous about this as I felt quite bad for 2-3 days when I halved the dose from 2.5 mg to 1.25 mg-felt very hyped up, blood pressure

Hello, Briefly I've had multiple Aortic/Mitral valve surgeries, with the second in 2013 I acquired Complete Heart Block, Permanent AF, Shunt, and my Pacemaker. I'm probably lucky that I've been reasonably stable over the years, other than every now and again having the PM settings altered. On Warfarin

withdrawal symptoms from bisoprolol
Morning hearties, I had OHS for BAV in May this year and have a mechanical valve. All doing well. I saw my cardiologist last week, who questioned why I was on bisoprolol still, he then subsequently spoke to the surgeon and they agreed that I should start to come off it. I am doing it very slowly, one

Candesartan and severe dizziness
I'm currently on Lercanidipine 20mg and bisoprolol 1.25mg which has done pretty well. I take Lercanidipine 20mg in the morning and three hours later my once high bp of 150/95 is down to 113/69. The bisoprolol I take in the evening and it has brought my high heart rate of 100 down to 70 or 63. Because

Exercise
I need some information about safe and effective types of exercise for people with a history of heart attack and atrial fibrillation. My heart attack was six years ago and was treated with one stent. I have had two emergency admissions with fast AF; the first was one year after the heart attack and induced

Permanent bloating with continuous palpitations
At my wits end for some time now have had constant palpitations accompanied by endless stomach bloating - every few seconds my heart jumps/hesitates/leaps - have tried valsalva manoeuvre, cold water splashes on face, slow/deep breathing, and for the bloating have tried activated charcoal capsules, pepppermint
