Hello
I hope you find out it will be ok to take them in an evening and let us know how you get on x
I moved all my blood pressure meds to the evening, only because I saw that it makes more sense to do that. I have to admit that the moving made me feel a little ill for a week while I adjusted but since then no discernible difference. My blood pressure is up and down to no pattern but it has always been like that. The bisoprolol only seems to keep my heart rate stable at circa 52bpm
Bisoprolol can be a tough medication. I did not tolerate it at all at first, but what helped me was splitting doses between morning and evening. I now take 2.5 mg in the morning and 2.5 in the evening. I would say the side effects I experience are occasional dizziness, some "weakness" for lack of a better word, and tiredness. However, the latter is probably just lingering effect of my heart issues. I do have to take care when standing up and bending down that I don't get dizzy.
When I was on 2.5mg taken in the morning as I was told to by the cardiologist if I did much in the way of exercise it felt like wading through treacle. I was told that I had to put up with it until my heart had recovered from the MI. The bisoprolol was protecting my heart
I also find splitting the dose morning and evening works well for me. It takes quite a while to get used to this drug but persevere. It is worth it in the long run and certainly keeps me stable. I take it for af and bp for quite a number of years.
I would be careful with this drug keep a record of your bp and any significant change to heart rate be prepared to change routine from am to pm dosage of split to both but beware of increasing amount as it can have negative consequences ie a pronounced drop in heart rate and or bp. Get used to monitoring closely on changes and let doctor know promptly. I had major cardiac drop out with big bp drop paramedics were v concerned at that so I'm on very low dosage but in my case it's to prevent surges in HR and BP Hope all goes well for you as there are probably limited drug options if beta blockers are not tolerated
Regards
