Ablation for ventricular tachycardia
When I've posted here before over the last 8 years it has been about my own fairly benign AF, which needed a second cardioversion a few months ago. This time, I'd welcome your advice for my wife, who has patiently put up with my moans and groans, and herself went into ventricular tachycardia a couple

Awful Fibrillation
thanks all who have replied I have not seen a Cardiologist face to face for three years , just phone calls spasmodically. You cannot get to see a GP here in Bristol either The last call I was told I should up my Dosage of Bisoprolol to 15mg as my legs are retaining water and I am poor on balance .

Ectopics one after the other
Hi there, I hope it's ok to join? I've posted on here before on the British Heart Foundation but I wondered if anyone here could also help me. Very brief history, I am female, aged 47 and perimenopausal (on HRT). I started having palpitations, ectopic beats around 2 years ago and had a suspected SVT

Update on update GP visit re: Tachycardia
Went to my GP three weeks ago because my heart rate was above 100 while resting usually 115 bpm or less but above 100. He prescribed Bisoprolol 1.25mg once a day and I've been taking it ever since. Had a follow up appointment at my GP today and when he took my heart rate it was 100. So he's increased

A friend said to me “It sounds as if your heart has rebooted?”; Is this possible?
Here is the background. I had the virus that can’t be named from my partner following a visit of his to the hospital and 48 hours after it went negative, I had a fast pulse with an irregular heartbeat (only traceable by taking a wrist pulse, no palpitations, no breathlessness). Was put on apixaban and

An interesting thought
I have had Afib paroxysmal on and off for 10 years. I now take 2.5 mg Bisoprolol each morning and have since had no Afib attacks or wobbles. However, my Apple watch always says I have Afib, and any time I have an ECG it says I have Afib. Yet I appear fit as a flea, can do manual jobs and work, etc

Heart attack meds Omeprazole
Hi everyoneI had a mid heart attack 2021 and have been on Omeprazole since then, my current everyday tablets are candesartan, aspirin, rosuvastatin, Bisoprolol plus the Omeprazole. I am querying Omeprazole as is it says not for long term use on the NHS. As I am on the meds above is there a need for long

mixing meds with bisoprolol
I have a dreadful cold at the moment. I feel like death describes exactly how I am feeling. I have been offered a hot drink. Max Strength Optipharma. It contains Paracetamol, Phenylephrine and decongestion. Does anyone know if this will interfere with my daily Bisoprolol. Unlike many of you on this

Hospital update
hi all Had my first hospital assessment this afternoon but the Registrar said I wasn’t typical of Angina symptoms. ECG was ok but she’s sending me for an echocardiogram and ct scan to be sure. She did wonder if I had a lung problem due to being an ex smoker (only for 2 months) and having had radiotherapy

Bisoprolol 1.25
Hi, I am new on this website. I am on low dose Bisoprolol 1.25 mg. ( Heart mitral valve prolapse and bicuspid valve ). Started taking 10 days ago. I wake up early morning 3 or 4 o’clock and my heart is pounding and my breathing is accelerated. Feeling anxious. Doctor advised to continue taking medication

Heart Meds...Stomach problems...anyone else?
Hi all, I had a H/A in January which resulted in a stent being fitted. I am on several meds Asprin, Atorvastin 80mg, Clopidogrel, Lanzoprazole, Ramipril 7.5mg, Bisoprolol and recently I have suffered severe stomach pain and diarrhoea. This is happening basically once a week and I'm presuming it is

Skin problems.
I have had very itchy rash for about 12 months and wondered whether this is caused by any of the heart medications I am taking following bypass surgery two years ago. The rash seems to be getting worse and more widespread, covering large areas of my back, shoulders and chest. I am currently taking Bisoprolol

Coming off bisoprolol
Hello All,I have been told to stop my daily 2.5mg dose of Bisoprolol today prior to ablation on Monday. I know the standard line is 'if this is medical advice, it is fine' but information online suggests that you should be weaned off gradually over the course of a week to reduce risk of dramatic spikes

Anyone take amioderone?
With my ablation on the 14th July and the recently prescribed Sotalol not really reducing my heart rate, I've been put on to Amioderone and a lower dose of Bisoprolol (2.5mg) which I only came off a month ago as it made me feel so rubbish. Apparently it's to get my heart back nearer normal in prep for

Bisoprolol
Fatigued and VO2 level is very low. Could Bisoprolol be the cause and is it safe to come off it if it is. I take 1.25mg daily for Tachycardia.

Is flecainide a good drug?
I have been very low profile of late because I had nearly two years free of AF - then it came back last Wednesday with a vengeance and refused to go away... This resulted in a trip to the doctor's and then A&E on Thursday because the rate was quite high, blipping up to 150+ bpm. To cut a long story
