Update on update GP visit re: Tachycardia

Went to my GP three weeks ago because my heart rate was above 100 while resting usually 115 bpm or less but above 100.

He prescribed Bisoprolol 1.25mg once a day and I've been taking it ever since. Had a follow up appointment at my GP today and when he took my heart rate it was 100.

So he's increased the dose to 2.5mg and I start that from tomorrow. He ordered blood tests and they all checked out ok, no problems with my thyroid or anything.

He wants to look at an ECG I had on the 19/05/23 so is trying to get hold of it. I have a follow up appointment in a months time.

The Bisoprolol 1.25mg definitely lowered my heart rate so hopefully 2.5mg will reduce it further. He did say 1.25mg is a low dose.

Hello :-)

1.25mg I think is the lowest dose so the 2.5mg hopefully will make a difference :-)

Thank you for updating us sounds like you have a good Doctor there :-)
