Anyone else have to stop taking tacrolimus due to kidney toxicity? I am two years out from my deceased donor transplant. At one year, my kidney function was normal. Now, at two years, my creatinine is 2.2 and my eGFR is 31. After MANY tests and multiple biopsies of my transplanted kidney, they

“Non-celiac wheat sensitivity: rationality and irrationality of a gluten-free diet…”
As the above article shows there are ways to define based on gut
biopsy
findings. Diagnosing Coeliac Disease in itself is by intestinal
biopsy
as the standard sets out.

Worry about ASXL1 MUTATION
Bone marrow
biopsy
has shown that there are sick megakaryocyte, although my fibrosis has been reversed. Do you have any strategies for this? I am afraid of transplantation because there is no donor in my family and I still need to support my parents. 🙏Thanks!

Liver Biopsy Negative can it still be PBC?
I had a liver
biopsy
and the results came back showing no damage or signs of PBC and less than 5% fat in my liver. Can you have PBC and also have a normal liver
biopsy
with no signs of PBC?

POST 5 - CAR-T cell therapy
I then asked what it was at my last bone marrow
biopsy
on 27th March, apparently it was similar. Obviously the bridging treatment of five Rituximab infusions whilst continuing with Venetoclax had not cleared the bone marrow.

How long does this process take?
Or is another
biopsy
done? I live in a rural location. The RO is in one city, the RT building another community, and my primary care and urologist are in another place. So I'll also be doing (or my wife will) a fair amount of driving.

Hysteroscopy...
A friend told me it would be, but i thought can't be that bad 🤣 On the bright side, she couldn't see any issues, now i need to wait for the
biopsy
results, & prepare myself for my next round at the end of May, hoping that this time will finally be the one that sticks.

Prominent pathologist at Johns Hopkins on leave, facing bullying claims, WaPo, by Steve Thompson & Katie Shepherd, 10/22/23
Looks to be another case of professional success breeding professional arrogance and familial preference. Seems to be a lot of that going around these days - in all sectors of society. BTW, as a patient, my fav reader comment to the article is: "tell someone that they make a nice anecdote". * * *

New diagnosis of Hashimoto’s
The ultrasound showed 2 suspicious nodules that were then biopsied and the results came back inconclusive for cancer with recommendation to redo
biopsy
in 3 months. Is having these suspicions nodules common in Hashimoto’s, I can’t believe that I have to wait another 3 months for this.

Very slow start getting treatment and diagnosis
Should my dad get a
biopsy
before the pet scan? Should he/can he start hormone therapy asap? Any guidance? I’m worried sick and it’s so painful waiting around.

Update after consultation w/Royal Marsden
I'll soon have a
biopsy
fresh from the main tumour 6. The 'holding strategy' is to take a baby dose of dexamethasone. they're about to publish a paper suggesting a possible 40% response to the steroid- the main side effect seems to be that I start talking like Donald Trump.... 7.

Recent diagnosis of Ductal Invasive Breast Cancer
They did a Ultrasound and a needle
biopsy
and the breast surgeon said she thought it was "highly likely to be malignant because of its unclear edges". I went to the appointment with my husband who was great. I hadn't felt the lump and I wasn't feeling noticeably ill at all.

advice required from the wonderful people on this site.
Have been told I have nodules on my thyroid and lymph nodes on my chest, waiting to get an appointment for
biopsy
to be done. Saw an endocrinologist privately, she advised going back to NHS to get tests done. On the two week pathway.

undigested food
Nothing was detected from the procedure or the
biopsy
. But I continue to have problems digesting food. I have been eating mainly blended food but still have severe cramps and diarrhea.

Are there options past Pluvicto?
He did a liquid
biopsy
in january, that showed nothing but a TP 53 mutation. He is also symptomatic and has had some bone pain, so BAT is not on the table. Is there anything out there we may pursue?

Biopsy
? We had been looking after my ailing mother, and stress was hard on my wife. She gained weight and went from her normal 150-160 to around 220 lbs.
