very informative talk on bone marrow biopsy
I found this talk to be very informative; I wish it had been filmed to a better standard and that the slides were visible for longer, but Dr. Wendy Erber is excellent at explaining the terms and the details of bone marrow . https://youtu.be/Gz1q34Wfm_k

Biopsy
came back saying group 5 cancer most aggressive and quickest spreading (Gleason score 9)240mg of firmagon started followed by 80mg every month to come. This is not paired with anything else. 2. Oncologist my father met for first time today.

Genomic testing of the primary tumor, or a metastasis? What Gens or ARN or what is to be tested ?
I am mCRPC my urologist wants to
biopsy
the prostate to have data for immunotherapy if it suits me. Pembrolizumab, Olaparib, whatever I have read about TILs, and wonder if anywhere it is available, as if I am biopsied, there will be samples to work with, eventually.

Guardant Liquid Biopsy - when is best to do this?
Had genomic testing of
biopsy
sample which showed MMR deficient and MSI high. MO suggested doing liquid
biopsy
, though unclear on timing. Curious as to what might be optimal timing; now, between chemo visits or wait til chemo done and do with all the post treatment scans. Thanks

Immunology and hysteroscopy biopsy
I am also given a hysteroscopy to check my lining and take a
biopsy
for any indication of inflammatory on the surface. I am on the waiting list for 8 weeks... this is done on the NHS hence the long wait.

HDRT Recommended for stage 7 and 8 cancer found in seminal vesicles
After repeated biopsies cancer was found in November. My PSA is now over 14 I have completed all scans including new MRI’s and cystoscopy no other cancer has been found. I had my first Firgamon injection today and waiting for what comes next. My doctor is one of the best from MSCC and I do have confidence

Questions About Scans and Lymph Node
- Husband had a
biopsy
of that lymph node early in the year. Could that have caused it to remain enlarged? - If it is possible that there is still active disease in that node, is there other treatment we can expect to discuss or plan to ask about?

Fibroscan and liver biopsy discordance. Which one is more accurate?
My liver
biopsy
is F3 fibrosis but fibroscan value is F0 fibrosis. I confused. Which one is more accurate? I searched in in internet they say fibroscan is scan more liver area than
biopsy
sample. Was it localized fibrosis?

Should I have a hysterectomy?
Thankfully I had a
biopsy
that showed no signs of cancer. As I had had prior bad reactions to Mirena/Jaydess, he tried endometrial ablation but said the op was unsuccessful as the tissue was too deep and spongy to remove totally.

Prostate Cancer CTC PSMA Status Could Guide Therapy
“In addition, men with more intense and homogeneous PSMA expression by PSMA PET/CT have better outcomes with PSMA-directed radioligand therapy, and if we can better identify these men through a liquid

GCA Taper from 60 mg
I had unconfirmed (negative
biopsy
) GCA 5 years ago and tapered very slowly from 100 mg to zero. Two months ago in July, I had visual, throat and jaw symptoms. My neuro-opthomologist did a temporal
biopsy
, and this time it was positive.

Allele Burden Question
I went back and reviewed my bone marrow
biopsy
results taken to establish as a baseline prior to Besremi for reference regarding allele burden. There were two mutations present. JAK I already knew about. The other listed is ASCL1. Two questions.

hello all, for those working, trying to be pragmatic (big word that 😉)
Still trying to get to grips, very early days…… Have my first appt at the Rheumy clinic tomorrow, they have already made an appt for the
biopsy
next week too. Feeling a bit unnerved today.

lupron. seems this drug kills testosterone and is supposed to starve cancer cells.. while radiation kills the cancer.. I was reading. Outsmart your cancer by Tanya Pierce.. The medical argument is that testosterone is the evil thing here but really is a lame argument.. As Dr White has said if this
