Just a little reassurance.
Hello everyone. Just to say I had my covid vaccination two days ago (Sat 27th Feb) and I've been ok. 🙂 I'm currently on 11mg prednisolone, Alendronic Acid, Propanolol, Atorvastatin and Calci-D. Yesterday my arm felt slightly sore at the point of the injection and also a little achey, but nothing

IBRUTINIB AND HIP PAIN
IBRUTINIB AND HIP PAIN: First, I want to say that since Ibrutinib is such a miraculous drug, many people want to stay on it. The hip pain needs work throughout the day, but can be mitigated or eliminated. The main muscles that cause pain around the hips are the quadratus Lumborum and the gluteal muscles-there

Why we eat too much
Hi everyone. I am currently reading a book by Dr Andrew Jenkinson entitled Why We Eat Too Much. It is so interesting and really explains how eating and obesity relates to our hormone balance and the effects processed food and refined carbohydrates / sugar has on this. Free ebook of 300 pages:"Parkinson's here and now. 27 years searching for a cure for Parkinson's disease (1994-2021)."
This coming Monday (if everything goes as planned) I will publish on my blog "Parkinson's here and now" the link to a free book of about 250-300 pages and in printable pdf format, which collects the most interesting of the book I published in 2015 (now translated into English) as a tribute to my father

Prolia / Denosumab Opinions
I had first Prolia last August and I just had second. I did feel very achy for a number of weeks after the first. I have just googled and seen alarming things like Infections with Prolia / rebound fractures/ lots of problems. By the way , only on it as I found Alendronic acid hard to comply

Denosumab / Prolia ? Opinions
Has anyone here had Prolia ( Denosumab ) as they kept forgetting to take Alendronic acid . Prolia is a 6 monthly injection. I have been googling and become very alarmed. I certainly wont have it again. I would be grateful if anyone who has had it could share their experiences.

Wish I'd found this forum earlier, thank you to all for helpful advice and comments. I was diagnosed in Jan 2019 with PMR and my GP def thought I had GCA leading up to that (terrible migraine like continuous headaches, sickness, light sensitivity and massive weight loss - couldn't eat anything really

Pancreas cysts
Pancreas cysts - after a worrying few months, an MRCP has shown an improvement in my liver (I’ve lost about 1/12 stone since US in December) which is great news however I have incidental cysts on my pancreas. I have gallstones and due to have my gallbladder removed in April. Anyone know what if anything

Random question incoming..... So I am a couple of weeks into overhauling my diet/lifestyle for good thyroid function. For those fellow Levo-only takers can you give me an example of what you eat for breakfast & when? Currently I’m taking my Levo in morning, I wait at least an hour or then I’ll have

Alendronic Acid 2 years on.
I said I'd write this post as it may or may not help anyone considering taking this medication to make a decision. I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in 2016, having being diagnosed coeliac in 2015. My t score at the time was -2.5 in my Spine. I also had osteopenia in my hips. I was advised then to go

Is a sore throat a GCA symptom?
I’m writing this for my mother and apologies in advance for the lengthy explanation. My mother was diagnosed with PMR in November. We think she probably had it for sometime but as my father was receiving full time palliative care at home we were not as aware of her health issues as my dad was so poorly
