Pancreas cysts

Pancreas cysts - after a worrying few months, an MRCP has shown an improvement in my liver (I’ve lost about 1/12 stone since US in December) which is great news however I have incidental cysts on my pancreas. I have gallstones and due to have my gallbladder removed in April. Anyone know what if anything will be done about the cysts?

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your weight loss - well done ! It is possible that your medical team will want to monitor the pancreatic cysts with imaging. Your forthcoming admission in April for gall bladder removal would be a good opportunity to discuss this question with your team.

I am in a similar position, still waiting for results of a meeting 2 weeks ago about this. As l understand it, pancreatic cysts are often found on scans, they may be caused by the back up from gall stones. Sometimes they are left. The waiting is awful isn't it. Good luck.

Thank you. Had my telephone consultation but they didn’t have my scan in front of them (scan done as a result of private consultation for gallbladder). They just said they will keep their eye on me. Gallbladder op on 19th April so I am hopeful that resolves my issues!

Hi they found a cyst on my pancreas when I had a scan its 6cm they scan it every year and it still remains the same size so they do not seem worried just keep their eye on it every year
