Alendronic Acid and migraines
Has anyone had migraines associated with alendronic acid? I took AA for 3 weeks and then stopped (with GP blessing - see other posts). I was diagnosed with ocular migraines about 3 years ago and had a very occasional one. They are migraines with an aura and all the associated blind spots and weird visual

Dexa scan results
Bit distraught. Got my dexa results today and it appears I have osteopenia throughout the lumber spine and total hip with osteoporosis of femoral neck. Wish I'd taken the flipping alendronic acid now! What now? Is any of this reversible? Feeling very tearful, please help.

Help with ibs symptoms
Hi, I have just been diagnosed with ibs after 3 years of pain. Had countless tests, the most recent being a defecating proctogram, this showed up a full circumferential inussuception, rectocele & entrocele. I’ve also had a capsule endoscopy which showed all the markers still in my left small bowel.

Hello everyone. My question is can AlA and ALCAR be taken together with l/c, or does it have to be taken separately? I get very tired exercising. Thank you. Jesus

Magnesium Supplements
I'm taking 350mg soluble magnesium carbonate every other day, as suggested by my GP before I was diagnosed. However, I have read that Magnesium Glycinate is specifically recommended for absorption and also as a sleep aid of sorts. Would welcome any feedback - i.e. what dose should be taken daily

Higher levels of omega 3 increase longevity according to an 11 year study.
Hi everyone, Unfortunately busy life styles and multi tasking has taken its toll on the diets of many as convenience and fast foods are consumed at the detriment to our overall health. Spinal compression
I have recently sadly sustained another spinal compression which is really painful this time. Not helped by the fact it has taken my doctors so long to sort out medication for me. I had my first in August last year and I’ve still not started on any programme after failing to get along with alendronic

Book "Let Food be your medicine" by Don Colbert, MD
He covers a number of common illnesses. I only summarise what I consider the main points from the section on cancer with the hope of stimulating discussion. He does not claim to cure cancer and says "but it does help, and we have helped hundreds of patients treat (manage or control) their cancer".

Nutrition and supplements
Does anyone follow with an integrative oncologist? I am recently diagnosed, not requiring treatment at this time and would like to optimize my health and seek out natural approaches to treatment as long as I can. I have been researching nutrition and supplements to help in this battle. Does anyone

Loathe am I to criticise the NHS in UK as it’s such an amazing privilege to have free health care but following the messages from forum users elsewhere in the world I realise that sometimes we get what we’re given and don’t necessarily get the best healthcare. I m scared I’m blindly heading towards

Letter from Hep Consultant PBC
Hi received my letter from the consultant - Primary Biliary Cirrosis! instead of Primary Biliary Cholangitis. I was horrified to find the name changed in 2016 and not sure I have much faith in his approach. At no point does it mention Cholangitis, I have a Fib4 score of 5.34 no idea what that means.

Hi all, well I’ve been on Alendronic Acid for osteoporosis for 4 months now and overall have tolerated it well with the odd few side effects, the most annoying being itchy skin but not half as bad as I thought it would be. What is your take on Soybean? 🧐🤔
Edamame has always been my favorite snack since I was little. I usually steam and sprinkle a little bit of sea salt. You may find edamame prepared the same way as appetizer when you go to a sushi restaurant. I found many health benefits from edamame but one thing I’m concerned is phytoestrogen or isoflavones

Risendronate versus Alendronic Acid
I have been on AA for 20 months now and the side effects are getting worse. Eyes, headaches, tiredness and brain fog. My Doctor suggests I try Risendronate instead. Has any one any info or advice they can give me. Is it worth a try?
