Cause of fluctuating Cortisol Results ?
Morning, Will try and condense the last 5 years of cortisol results, as thoroughly confused, cortisol Vs thyroid. Cortisol was tested under endo who I had been referred to in 2015 with regards my thyroid. In Aug 2015 my results show a level of 992 ( V high) with an ACDH of 8.79, not sure if the latter

Please help........new patient
Diagnosed Dec 2021 with ITP. Have tried Prednisone, IVIG, Dexamethasone Revolade and now Rituximab. My platelets have always been 100-137 prior to Dec. I had a very bad bladder infection and platelets dropped to 1 and have not recovered. I have had no episodes of bleeding. Could I have been misdiagnosed

Cut in dexamethasone
Husband has been on prednisone and then dexamethasone along with Zytiga for 2 years and 8 months. My worry is his adrenal glands won’t function as we are having to wean him off the dex due to water retention. Any thoughts? Dex has been 9 months. Stopping zytiga as well for now.

What’s Next?
Dad’s PSA has been rising for some time now. I feel that something is wrong. My father started Zytiga in 2019, he switched from prednisone to dexamethasone as well. His PSA was fluctuating between 0.03-0.05. Then it rose to 0.07, stayed stable then it rose to 0.11. Today’s checkup indicated his PSA rose

Leg Pain
Hi everyone, just a question with regards to pain that my old man is feeling at the moment. It started round about the time he started radiotherapy on his Prostate. They decided to do an MRI and although this chucked up a couple more lesions than what was already known, he was cleared for spinal compression

Anyone being taken off Zytiga due to heart issues? Husband has gained a lot of water weight due to an issue with his heart perhaps caused by the Zytiga. Thoughts?

Sensitive teeth
Have any of you on Zytiga and dexamethasone experienced sensitivity in your teeth? I get a three month injection of Xgeva, therefore am concerned about any dental problems that might creep up. Before my last shot of Xgeva I had to go to my dentist and have x-rays to make sure gum areas were clear. .Please

Fungal infection on glans
Hello I have been suffering from balantitis for about 5 months now. Doctors have prescribed me with hydrocortisone and that didn't help. I went to a new dr and she prescribed me clotrimazole and has helped a lot actually. It took away the burn I had in the glans in about 5 days and the redness after

AMG Clinical Trial Update
I have been silent since the end of January. Not just on the board. I am not sure why I clammed up, but I decided the roller coaster was too much for my family. Also, I have been having trouble processing my thoughts on the clinical trial. The COVID positive from January 11, turned into a 4-week interruption

Balanitis After Syphilis
I've seen a urologist and he prescribed an antifungal steroidal cream:
Clotrimazole
1% /
Betamethasone
.5%. The cream seems to help temporarily but the redness returns after sex. I've been told a circumcision is the ultimate solution but would like to save that as a last resort.

Help and advice please.
Father in law had a fall inside his bungalow, fell backwards onto a hard wood floor, the fall was attributed to heart arrhythmia, he had a pacemaker fitted for this. The fall caused a bleed on the brain, which it was decided by the neurosurgeon did not require an operation. He was prescribed dexamethasone

ITP after COVID vaccine
I've had CLL for about 11 years without issues. I received the first shot of Moderna on 28 January and have been dealing with ITP ever since. They dropped from 110K to 6K. Prednisone, platelet transfusion, IVIG, dexamethasone and now I'm looking at Rituximab. This almost seems worse than CLL!

Sex/Masturbation with Balanitis
I've had balanitis for several months now after contracting syphilis in July. I was treated for syphilis and that has been resolved, but balanitis remains. For me it appears as one red spot on the bottom left side of the penis head under the foreskin. I'm currently trying Mupirocin 2% ointment (antibiotic

Dexamethasone and Enzalutamide
Hi everyone! Dad is currently undergoing radiotherapy on his lower spine due to compression. They have also prescribed him dexamethasone. I have read there is a moderate interaction meaning that it decreases effectiveness of the Enzalutamide. Does anyone know of this and should it be of concern? Thanks
