So today 2nd of March 2021 I went for insertion of my central line in preparation for my first cycle of chemo 3rd of March.
After 1 failed attempt on the right side, 1 thought to be successful attempt on left side, but found to be ascending a vein instead of descending on X-ray to 3 rd attempt and 6 hours later success.
I returned home battered and bruised with the consolation that the Consultant anaesthetist was the double of Chris Martin ( from Coldplay) my favourite band and I never thought about the chemo tomorrow, once. So every cloud!
I think I’m a bit spaced out on the Dexamethasone so excuse my rambling but I’ve decided on my Mantra today.
I’m going to get through this “ON HIGH HEELS AND LIPSTICK 💄”

You must have been ‘hypnotised’, as the ‘clocks’ were ticking and never noticed the ‘trouble’ ‘the scientist’ was having trying to ‘fix you’ ..😊..good luck on your journey
I had no idea it could be so complicated. I was "put under" for mine and woke up when it was all over, so I just assumed it was all plain sailing and I probably wouldn't have been told otherwise anyway...
By now you'll have just finished your first cycle of chem. I hope all went well. Thinking of you and wishing you all the best.
