Low-dose Aspirin.
I imagine that the new aspirin study [JAMA (1)] will get a lot of media play, but I will post anyway. A previous study concluded that the only people who benefit from low-dose aspirin are those who have already experienced a cardiovascular event. For everyone else, the risks obliterate any benefit

Levothyroxine - anxiety , chronic fatigue, HRT and eating disorder - does anyone else have these symptoms ?
hi thyroiders - I am yo-yoing from extreme anxiety to extreme fatigue . I am getting really low thoughts as I can’t sustain a relationship - I can barely look after my children and they live with me half the time. I feel so afraid as over the last 16 years this is getting worse and worse Just started

Am I going mad?
Hi! I've had so much helpful information from this forum and made copious notes over the last few weeks, I was determined I could get by without asking for help, but no. I'm so upset, after what I've decided is my last visit to the GP as I'm fed up of being fobbed off and coming out like a gibbering

Hello brothers. In 12 months of ADT vacatión (with no medication) my PSA has risen slowly but steadily, from . 2 to .9. Not sure weather to feel good or worry. Any advice?

Short of breath
On Orgovyx, Nubeqa and Megace for last three months. Completing 27 of 27 fractions of radiation tomorrow. I am short of breath most of the time. A walk up a flight of stairs leaves me gasping. I continue to workout including running (slower and shorter since radiation started), hiking and weights

surgical menopause
hi! What are your thoughts on including progesterone in your hrt regime if you are in surgical menopause and previously had severe endo? My hysterectomy included endo excision by an endo specialist. Is it necessary?

drenching night sweats
I have been on Hrt for 6 years but drs found a brain tumour last year...it was removed but I have to stop my hrt as the tumour could come back as it feeds on estrogen. I am about to stop the patches after halving them for 2 months. I am having terrible drenching sweats and my legs are so painful and

Experience of taking Lofepromine.
I am a parent of a teenager diagnosed with treatment resistant depression. ECT has recently made minor improvements but now Lofepromine is being suggested. I am concerned about the side effects, the possibility of an increase in suicidal thoughts and many other worries as we have had some nasty past

How long would it take HRT to worsen RLS?
Having had very mild RLS for a number of years it worsened dramatically in Feb 2020. In Jun this year I increased by HRT and am experiencing an escalation in my RLS symptoms and so now I’m wondering if my starting it in May 2019 could’ve been the original trigger for them worsening - is it possible

Work - the curse of the Running Class! ;)
So darn busy I let my seventh 'Runaversary' pass by! Yep - June 1st, 2016 I decided to try the crazy-promises App I stumbled across on my new cell phone. C25K itself did not fill me with any confidence - it was a post by a newly graduated young lady who described her struggles with breathing, heavy

My case is unusual in as much as I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer four years ago. A bone scan identified many areas where I had bone mets, even one between my shoulder blades on my spine that looked like structural surgery was inevitable. My PSA topped 1000 and I had zero treatments of any

Multivitamins/Supplements
My 5 year old son was recently diagnosed with combined ADHD, and his dad and I are holding off on medication for now. I'd love to hear what vitamins, supplements, and or diet changes you all are doing for a kiddo this age? I read a recommendation for the OLLY brand "Chillax" vitamins that we've been

Bowel irrigation (Not "colonic irrigation")
I have obstructed defecation (anismus) which has not responded to biofeedback etc. The next step is at home bowel irrigation and I am just waiting for an appointment with the bowel nurse to issue me with the equipment. It would be helpful to hear of anyone`s experience with this. I don`t know which
