Hi everyone and sorry this post is going to be a long post, convoluted and a bit of a downer (with a possible rant as well). This evening I've been listening to an interview between Michael Risen and the Thyroid Trust (here's the link if anyone is interested: https://youtu.be/dBmwRpsUPQM) and there's

Vaccinations and bloodwork
I have a checkup coming soon at MD Anderson and want to get my flu shot. Would the vaccination affect my bloodwork before my visit? I typically get sick with either the flu or covid vaccinations for a day or two.

Does this tiredness ever go?
Been on pred for just over three years, and yes the pain has almost gone, only says hello I’m still here, if I do something silly, like picking something heavy up. The feeling of being wiped out is getting worse, a ten mins walk means a sit down is needed, this is new. Had opportunity of face to face

BFN after hcg
So my bloods were done today and after two hours the doctor informed us it was negative hcg level was at 2.9. I guess they failed to stick. We are gutted for now. Going to see the doctor on Wednesday to try and find a way forward. We hope to try a few more times before age really catches up with us.

Severe Anxiety & Palpitations, can anybody relate?
My name is Neil, and i’m 48 years of age, and currently bedridden with a severe case of anxiety. Up until 2019, I was thoroughly enjoying life, a great job in support work, regular trips out, nature walks, breaks away, it couldn’t be better, then it all changed. Me and my partner were taking a drive

Non-specific intra atrial conduction disturbance
Reaching out for advice. Recently diagnosed with heart spasms following a MINOCA in September. Since returning to work part time, I’ve been experiencing increase in heart palpitations and every few minutes my heart skips a beat/delay in beat. GP carried out an ecg, report says Prolonged QT and non-specific

Flu jab and Thyroid blood tests
Hi, My wife's having her flu jab this evening and a Medichecks blood draw tomorrow at 8. Is this wise; will the flu jab affect the efficacy of the blood tests? Thanks, Decant

new medication worries
Just had my cardiac mri scan, but previously a 48hr ecg monitor which showed a marked increase in my ectopics. Cardiologist had just prescribed Diltiazem, 60mg slow release 3 times a day. I’m so nervous about starting these, just wondered how others have managed on them.

My TMS Therapy journey update...
Hello all, I had my last treatment session this week, it was number 36 so I am finished with this round of treatment. I have a meeting scheduled in a couple weeks with the clinic doctor/director to review everything and see where I go from here. My survey results this week were 2 on the GAD-7 and 2

Ablation outcome
So I haven't been on for a while or updated on the outcome of my ablation that I had at the end of August. I stayed in and out of NSR for about 2 weeks before settling in to a symptomless permanent AFib. The only problem was I felt breathless on climbing hills or running. A 24 hour ECG showed my average

When to have the jab.
Three weeks ago I had a mild heart attack. I also had pneumonia. Will I be able to have the flu jab this year & how long after my heart attack? Also would it be a good idea to have the pneumonia jab.

When does covid become long covid? And when does it become a thyroid issue?
Hi all, I can see DippyDame started a similar thread recently which was closed. To avoid that please could we avoid talking about the covid vaccine? I had my 4th booster (amd flu jab, if its relevant) on 14th October and got covid for the first time on 28th October. I tested positive for 8 days.

question about hypothermia?
a couple weeks back, I visited my Kaiser infusion lab …. Lupron implant and Zometa pain train infusion. While there the intake nurse was alarmed with my 95.2 body temp. It’s been running between 95.2 and 95.7 lately. She told me to go to the E.R. , immediately, if it dropped to 95 or less. They were
