Ongoing GI side effects from Yervoy
It's been a week of extremes. Our youngest daughter got married on Sunday, and it was such a day of joy. There were smiling family, happy friends, beautiful bride and groom, new in-laws, great weather (outdoor ceremony!), dinner and dancing, and I ended the night sitting by an outdoor fire overlooking

IBS
I've suffered from IBS diarrhea since I was 12 years old and have seen at least 10 specialists, I'm 55 now, all saying the same thing. Don't know what it is. But not before they all ran the same test, Barrium enumums small bowel biopsies, barium swallow, and of course the tube up my ass!. It wasn't

Hi all, I had Ivor Lewis in June due to adenocarcinoma at lower junction. I went to go in September 2017 after problems swallowing certain food. This progressively became worse to the point I could only manage clear soup that was passed through blender and sieved . After several visits to go and hospital

Emerging cell cycle inhibitors for treating metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.
New paper below. As someone who believes that halting cell cycle progression can be almost as good as inducing cell death in PCa, I was interested to see a paper on the topic. "Review of the current literature identified cell cycle inhibitors under study in early phase clinical trials targeting the G1

16 years with metastatic prostate cancer - latest news
When I put up my last post, I expected the follow-up to be fairly straightforward - you know, radium 223 has worked a bit, but only a bit, and I’m moving onto something else/PSMA targeting/immunotherapy. But, that hasn’t really happened. The prostate cancer had other ideas. I’ll come to that, but first

Does anyone know of a good doctor in New Jersey the united states ? That I could go to to do a test on the Vegus nerve ? Or at least more testing than a CAT scan or a barium enema ? Definitely NO MORE COLONOSCOPIES !! I have had close to 10 in the last 12 years and all they do is make my condition

I can't find any doctor who will prescribe vaginal valium (LA/TX area)
In 2015 I was diagnosed with PFD. Through physical therapy and vaginal valium my pain disappeared really fast and I became a completely normal person. It's back after a few nights of relentless vomiting, and my doctor moved. Now no one will follow the treatments he prescribed for me. I mention the word

W7 R1 - too slow...
Hello 👋 , I posted a couple of days ago after W6 R3, asking if I was going too fast if I felt like I couldn’t hold the conversation while running. So for W7 R1 I decided to go slower - and I don’t think it was a good decision for me personally. I follow my run with MapMyWalk (I like looking at the map

Low ferritin (20ng/ml), hypothyroid and 34 weeks pregnant. How do I increase my levels?
Hi all, I am 34.5 weeks pregnant and mostly doing really well. I've been under a lovely endocrinologist throughout my pregnancy who has kept a close eye on my T4 and T3 levels, as well as the essential vitamins and a host of other things. All my recent blood results have come back good. My Vitamin D,

Not sure how to feel!
15 months ago I was rejected by Papworth for a lung transplant as they said my oesophagus was too damaged and I wouldn’t survive the operation!!! Obviously, this initially felt like a death sentence as I felt that was it. Although the thought of going through a lung transplant scares the **** out of

Can x-rays from barium swallow test affect thyroid?
I have been suffering from acid reflux after suddenly getting a goiter (goitre) after taking iodine. (Big mistake taking iodine!) My subsequent blood panel showed low level hashimoto's and subclinical hypothyroid (with ultrasound indicating several nodules which have now shrunk along with the goiter

Magnesium dose
I have had Epsom salts in my bath the last couple of days instead of Radox bath salts. They have helped ease the pain in my back and knee. Does anyone else here think a magnesium supplement would be good for me to take? Any suppliers you can recommend would be great. Thanks in advance

Medicheck results
Hi all just received results back from medicheck. This is after 6 weeks of 100mg of teva levothyroxine. Been using better you iron spray aswell for a week or so. Pleased with my thyroid results but obviously not my antibody results that confirm hasimotos. Would my antibodies fall the longer I continue

Hi All Well we’re back in Prague for our last ever try. Have made minor changes to this cycle (been taking inofolac, ferrous sulphate and have been having acupuncture). We asked the doctor yesterday about killer cells yesterday as a possibility for failures so going to give prednisone a whirl as of
