Surgery to the spine for mets
I have mets to my spine in the cervical and thoracic regions and have had the maximum radiation allowed to that area. It seems there is new activity in the area and the Docs are discussing surgery to try and eliminate some of the spinal compression causing pain and numbness. Has anyone undergone surgery

40ng Carbimazole - hylerthyroid (Graves')
Hi guys After having been prescribed propanylol by my GP, I saw a specialist endo today for the first time. As I don't have anything to compare it to, I'm unsure how safe/effective the course of treatment prescribed is. 20mg of Carbimazole x2 per day (40mg dose). It seems pretty high to me (though

Auximen scan shows significant new cancerous activity and last post about my brother
Unfortunately, this is the last post about my brother. He passed away on October 6. My brother showed great fortitude against very long odds, and his courage and strength of spirit during this brutal battle was inspirational. I am heartbroken to lose him, but I know the cliché that he is finally at peace

Booked a running jaunt 😃🏃♀️
I was soaking my blistered feet last night as my husband kindly bought me a sack of Epsom Salts 😇 when my phoned pinged. It was my niece telling me that the virtual Orsted Great Grimsby race she’d booked and paid for was back on, after she’d thought she couldn’t run it due to injury. She’s paid for

Any treatments left?
Good afternoon, my dad has been battling this awful disease for 2 1/2 years. We have exhausted the majority of treatments. He has been on abiraterone, Xtandi twice, zytiga, Docetaxel, radium-223, BAT and now he is about to get his 8th treatment of Jevtana. He is 77 years old and is tolerating the Jevtana

🍂🍁Another 10 miler...slowly in the right direction! 🤞🏃🏽♀️🍁
I was looking forward to my run today. A cool breezy morning, clouds scudding across the sky 🍁🌬☁️🍂 - absolutely my favourite type of weather to run in! 🙂 My plan was for a 14k as part of my HM training but with the possibility of a second 10 miles if all went well. I wore my Aonijie hydration vest

Switching gears due to insurance denial of treatment plan
My MO was set to give me cabazitaxel with carboplatin as docetaxel was not working. However, insurance denied this treatment as not being beneficial. When MO asked for peer review the insurance doctor, who appears to know little about treatment of prostate cancer being specific to each individual, denied

Next Steps? Radium 223 or Jevanta (Cabazitaxel) - HELP - NEED ADVICE.
My friend is 56. Already gone thru Chemo (docetaxal), provenge, zytiga and xandi. MO wants him to start chemo which he doesnt want to do (again) and wants to know thoughts from others. Success (O.S) statistics with Radium 223? Running out of options. His PSA is rising but still low at .7 and imaging
