It was a 15 lb Chinook, he says happily. It was a hatchery fish and it had a tag in its snout which the fish checker cut out to send to the state biologist. Caught on fresh anchovy behind a flasher. Next week I am going Steelhead fishing!

Hmmm...I live in Charleston, SC...no salmon down here...tough for me to identify properly. Not much difference between to coho and the chinook
