vitamin advice
hi, I’ve got myself bogged down in an effort to take supplements to help with bone loss. I was diagnosed with osteopenia following a DEXA scan. I don’t want to take Alendronic acid and my GP agreed with me taking vitamin D3 + K2 mk7 and magnesium glycinate and to have a further DEXA scan in three years

Having two contraceptions
Hi, I'm about to get the Mirena coil but I'm currently on the depo injection. I was wondering if it's ok to be on two contraceptions at once? I'm thinking it might help with the transition and pain as I'm really struggling to get strong enough pain killers from my GP. They have prescribed mefenamic

Stopped AA but taking EvacalD3
After an MRI showing four compression fractures, my GP put me on Alendronic Acid and EvacalD3. I read about some side effects for AA and stopped taking it after nine months. I am still taking Evacal. Is this safe enough? I am nearing 78 and my risk for osteoporosis is not high. My bones are in quite

Dr Berg: "The REAL Cause of Alzheimer's Is NOT Amyloid Plaque in the Brain"
Dr Berg has over EIGHT MILLION subscribers on YouTube. His background is chiropractic but his videos very rarely talk about anything that is 'chiro' He always has very interesting (and unde 10 minutes!) health video. I know that ALZ is 'not' PD... But they are very much related in as much they are

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all keeping as well as can be. Tomorrow I am seeing my bone specialist at hospital to have a Zoledronic acid bone infusion via IV to help my Osteoporosis. I have been taking alandronic acid tablets for the last 5 years but now I need something stronger to help

ALA: Alpha-Lipoic Acid
Has anyone here tried Alpha-Lipoid Acid (ALA) and noticed a difference, whether positive or negative?

Zoledronic acid infusion for osteoporosis- I have to consider this
To fill in some historic details: I was treated for many years by Katharina Dalton for Premenstrual Migraine and Sinusitis using natural progesterone (Gestone Injections). Successfully. I hadn't been able to work for nine years but after treatment started went back to work full time. When she retired

Zolpidem users: a debilitating surprise awaits at 65
I took Zolpidem (a.k.a., Ambien) for 12 years. Last spring my doctor cut off my prescription without discussion. Around the same time my brother's doctor cut his prescription from 10mg to 5mg without discussion. At same time a fellow employee of my brother had her prescription cut off – without discussion

Levothyroxine sodium loaded dissolving microneedle arrays for transdermal delivery
Have been waiting for this for, umm, years! Especially since many recent mentions of microneedle arrays for other medicines. And suddenly fell across it today. The idea that we just might have an option to avoid oral delivery of thyroid hormones is spectacularly great news. It might not be the best

Azelaic acid and asthma
Hi, I have been prescribed a skin treatment for my rosacea that includes Azelaic acid. I have read that it could worsen my asthma, which is already severe. Has anyone any experience of azelaic acid? Thanks

Differing Rheumatologist opinions and Alendronic Acid

Sacrum tumor
Anyone have experience with a Sacrum tumor? Onc. wants to do a needle biopsy, then radiation but reading up on this, IF it shows a Chordoma, radiation is only done AFTER surgery and a surgical team should be standing by ready to go if it is a chordoma as the needle will spread it immediately and it's
