Meeting with Radiation Oncologist to discuss treatments after persistent cancer after Radical Prostatectomy (RP) with PSA of 0.8 - Gleason 7
I had my meeting with my Radiation Oncologist (RO) to discuss my treatment plan now since I had the recurrence cancer after surgery with PSA 0.8. He had me meet him in his examining room, instead of his office so he could sit next to me and my wife. I thought that was unusual because I even asked if

Atorvastatin and Afib
Hi everyone, this is my first Post on here, however, I find all your comments so comforting. I had my first AF Catheter Ablation in March this year. I had 8 wonderful weeks post Ablation and then AF crept back occasionally afterwards, which is normal thanks to all your advice on here and the post Ablation

Pace and ablate interval
I know there is about a six week interval between the pacemaker being inserted and the
ablation
of the
AV
node
, so is the pacemaker on and working during this time, or not working until the ablate part?

Svt’s and Afib
I had cardiac ablation March 2018. Two week heart monitor showed some Svt’s and some Afib. On medication and blood thinner. What heart medicine do you take to control Svt’s? I have had multaq, tioksen, amiodarone, flecainide. I now am on metropolol, fosinopril, and eliquis. I have read on this

Catheter ablation
Hi. I have just had a catheter ablation for the first time, which was on Monday the 17th of September. I'm led to believe that my palpitations could carry on for a while after my procedure as i have woken up this morning with them and still have them 7 hours later. I'm not going to build my hopes up

Due for an EP Study and Catheter ablation, And I'm kind of terrified!
Ok so to cut a long story short, After being diagnosed last week with Wolf-Parkinsson White syndrome, The doctor has put me in to have and EP Study and catheter ablation in 4-6 weeks. I'm so worried as I just feel it's all going to go wrong, And I'm terrified of hospitals to boot. I'm still not sure

History of Paroxysmal A.Fib.
Hi, I was diagnosed with A.fib in 2002. Since then I have had 3 failed ablations. I had a pacemaker in 2011. In 2016 I was due to have a hip replacement. There was a big fuss about doing it in case I went into Afib and unfortunately I gave in to having an A.V node ablation. No more pain from hip.

After surgery and now PSA 0.8 - what's next?
I am 61 years old, married for 2nd time for 21 years to a special woman who gave me 2 wonderful kids, now 17 & 19, and an adopted son from my first marriage who is now 33 and living with his girlfriend. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in April 2018. I had been seeing my PSA numbers slowing rising

Absolutely speechless
So I had my consultation for surgery yesterday. On my last consultation my other gyno said that if I wanted the chance of having kids surgery was the route to go down. I had the consultation with the Dr who will be performing the surgery yesterday and he handed me a leaflet about endometrial ablation

Problems following endometrial ablation/sterilisation
I underwent an endometrial ablation and sterilisation back in Sept 2015 and have have niggling issues since. I have recently had a scan that has now found fibroids and fluid and they have placed me on an urgent referral to see a consultant, should i be worried?

AV node ablation
I have permanent AF, but my EP has said that
AV
Node
ablation
would not stop the AF and restore normal sinus rythym. I was unable to get either him nor my cardiologist to give a reason for this. Are they correct or am I being too easily dismissed?

After pacemaker!
Having read a previous post from Cali Im beginning to think that
ablation
of the
av
Node
is answer. Im seeing my EP next week so I guess its make my mind up time then. They did fit a 3 lead PM in readiness for the ablation, the thought of which terrifies me, irrational I know.

Bisoprolol
Hi there, I was diagnosed earlier this year with SVT (a form of arrythmia) and have tried having the cardiac Ablation procedure which unfortunately did not work. They have now suggested I start on a low dose of Bisoprolol but I’m slightly nervous about taking it as I’m only 21 years old and of quite

I've been in this battle since 2010
Hi All C0zm0cat, you're having a difficult time here with PSA up and down all over the place. I was diagnosed in 2010 with Stage 3 and PSA 28.4. I was sent straight for Radiotherapy as normal Prostatectomy wasn't an option due to Cancer having spread outside Prostate to seminal vesicles etc. I had 3

Update on negative cardiologist
I asked him to refer me to an electrophysiologist to discuss the merits or demerits of an
AV
node
ablation
. He has agreed to do so and will contact him today. I live near Taunton, in Somerset. Ablations are only done at Bristol or Exeter, so I will need to go there.... probably Bristol, he says.

Wolff Parkinson White - SVT - Untreatable.
Hi! I’m a 31 year old mum with a daughter (14) who has just had her second EP study with ablation. Sadly, this didn’t work. Her surgeon has said that it’s a complex case with her pathway running from the inside of the heart epicardially - making it virtually impossible to treat using catheter ablation

Hi all. New here! I'm 24 and was diagnosed with ventricular ectopics a few years ago as I was having over 40,000 a day which was weakening my heart.
