Cardioversion
Then I will be offered an
AV
node
ablation
through the pacemaker which will kill my natural heart triggers and relay totally on the pacemaker. All scary stuff. Has anyone had experiences of these three procedures. 1 internal Cardioversion 2 Bi-ventricular Pacemaker 3 Ablation through pacemaker.

HF and pacemaker
I am now awaiting a biventricular pacemaker and subsequent
AV
node
ablation
which I am hoping will allow my EF to recover and resolve my HF. Has anyone else gone through a similar journey? If so, what was your experience?

Pacemaker
My real question is this, I had a 3 lead PM as it is thought I will the
AV
node
ablation
as even an increase in medication is not going to work for me.

When is AV Node ablation the answer?
My EP initially suggested an
AV
node
ablation
but then, without telling me the reason decided not to, saying that it would not stop the AF. I am now left rather confused as to whether or not
AV
node
ablation
would help me.

Ectopic beats after AV node ablation .....I'm worried.
I had an AV model ablation in January after a year of failed procedures to sort out permanent AF. I thought I was sorted as my heart has been beating regularly thanks to the pacemaker and I haven't been at all concerned..... until now. I've started getting pauses, feels like missed beats. I phoned the

ADENOMYOSIS PAIN help
Doctor thinks I have Adenomyosis too, I am 44, 1 vaginal birth, tubal ligation and Novasure Endometrial Ablation in 2015. I had the ablation due to heavy abnormal bleeding. I have not had a period since then, which is great, BUT this pain that I have been experiencing the past year for up to 2 weeks

AV node ablation - is sport still possible?
I am in the "shall I shan't I have the Ablate and Pace" mode. I need to be sure I can continue to ride my bicycle ( I live in a very hilly area and before this AF occurred I would average 30 miles a day) and also kayak. I was reading some comments which say that the pacemaker does respond to the demands

An update on my AF
He has referred me to Dr Glyn Thomas, an electrophysiologist at the Bristol Heart Institute, for an
Av
node
ablation
. That was in June. I haven't yet heard from him. My cardiologist said that his son has just had an ablation after a four month wait.

Exercise and AF: from Patients Day 2018
In response to a question from Pam296 in another thread here's a summary of what was said about Exercise and AF last Sunday. As far as exercise is concerned, two things make it more likely that you will get AF: a sedentary lifestyle and excessive endurance exercise. However ,non-excessive exercise

Pacemakers and Golf
I had a pacemaker fitted about 18 months ago and an
AV
Node
Ablation
6 weeks ago. Is there any reason why I cannot get back on the golf course. I am worried that the action of swinging the club could adversely affect the pacemaker wires. Is there any golfers in the forum who can comment on this?

I'm new here
My cardiologist determined after so much trial and error with medications failing, the last resort would be the PPM with
AV
Node
Ablation
. I'm almost 70 years old take Coumadin daily and a little nervous about having it done, complications wise!

Anti-coagulants and 'lone' AF
I'm 55 and have suffered paroxysmal AF for the past 30 years. Over the last two or three years however my AF has become persistent. Because of this I recently had a catheter ablation and was prescribed apixaban which I had to take for 28 days prior to the procedure and have been advised to keep taking

Endometrial Ablation Caused Issues?
Two years ago I had a ablation done due to horrendous periods ,it worked not one period since. Now though I'm thinking in light of recent problems if this procedures caused the abnormalities. I've been digging round on the internet and it seams that ablations can cause serious problems long term, more

Post-ablation (just out)
So if you are going to have a catheter ablation; do not worry! Mine was done under sedation and when I went in, I couldn’t stop my legs from shaking so they gave me something to calm me down (and it worked straight away). There was a bit of discomfort as they put the catheters in but nothing TOO painful

Ablation tomorrow
Hey guys, I’m scheduled to have a RF cardiac ablation tomorrow for PSVT and I thought I’d create a post here. I’ve had the condition since I was in my teens and now 12 years later, I decided to opt for the ablation. The irony is I haven’t had any episodes in the last few months (I’ve had the odd flutter

Heart rate question
Hi all. New to this group. A week ago, I had a catheter ablation because of a high number of ectopic beats, which were making me light headed and exacerbated my breathing during asthma attacks. They haven't yet settled down but I know that this can take some time. Since the ablation, I've found that
