Using own heart monitor for the three months immediately after catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation
Having had my third Ablation for fibrillation yesterday which I have to be optimistic will have stopped my AF for good. I am now in a dilemma as to whether to continue to use my trusted Kardia Alivecor heart monitor: once a day or so; occasionally; or put it aside for 3 months because I know this is

Very negative cardiologist.
He reluctantly offered an
av
node
ablation
, but couldn't guarantee it would make a difference, most likely not, he said, because of my age. He could connect a third lead from my ICD implant, but then I'd be totally dependent on it. So, all in all, a very negative attitude from him.

Questions for the hive mind. Have been on 3 monthly b12 jabs for a few years now. (I was 109 pmol/L at diagnosis) And despite initial positive response to the first few loading jabs, since then (on quarterly injections) I have gotten steadily worse. More fatigue. Neuropathy. Mental fog etc. One thing

AV node ablation and pacemaker
Hello I just joined and would really like to talk about this procedure for AF which I am planning to have - in 2 weeks. Have been on medication for some time (bisoprolol) and have had some stressful events in life which caused me to call 999.... Feeling nervous about being pacemaker dependent.

Cardiac Ablation 6/5/18
I am happy to say that the Cardiac Ablation 60 days ago went well and I have had only a few short periods of abnormal rhythm having worn a Holter for 10 days after the first month. My cardiologist is please with my progress. I feel great except I am having numbness of my feet but only when I sit too

Pacemaker adjustment after AV Node Ablation.
I had an
AV
Node
Ablation
9 days ago, pacemaker was implanted last October, as usual Drs had tried everything else before this to cure my permanent AF. I feel so much better that I still find it hard to believe, still scared to get too excited.

+CRT - P proceedure this coming Thursday, hopefully should sort out the paraxsymol AF that I have put up with for the past 11years. Two ablations plus 3 Cardioversions did not sort me out!! Anyone else experienced this proceedure?

Hi i was diagnosed with PMR almost 3 years ago and now with hindsight and the experience you pick up as you go along i realise i had been struggling with it for some time, during which time i had my first episode of paroxysmal AF. More episodes followed, i hadnt realised the link between PMR and AF,so

Palpitations when standing up
Hi all, I am a 51 year old bloke and had a successful
ablation
for
AV
node
reentry tachycardia in 1996 but a couple of years ago I started getting long runs of ectopics. In brief I had a loop recorder fitted and a recent failed ablation for atrial tachycardia (couldn’t locate pathway).

New
I have had three afib ablations. All three helped for 6 - 12 months, then rhythm out again. They are looking to do a fourth. Medications don't work. Meeting with my electrophysiologist next week. Trying to make the decision between doing another catheter ablation or pace & ablate ?

General anaesthetic
Hi All! After some advice. Due to undergo an endometrial ablation under general anaesthetic. (Hopefully to help address chronic iron deficiency anaemia) Aside from having my b12 jab afterwards as opposed to before....anything else I should be aware of in relation to general anaesthetic and hypothyroidism

Possible Pacemaker and Av node ablation
After speaking to him he believes the only option now is a pacemaker and then
av
node
ablation
, however due to me being 23 he wants to discuss my case with colleagues at mdm meeting to be sure since its such a final step.
