Awaiting contact from Cardiologist- may need catheter ablation procedure- anyone out there had this done? Afib nurse said with my symptoms and test results so far ablation maybe treatment plan option- I am scared as symptoms all came on so suddenly.

Anxious starting Tildiem for SVT’s
I’ve had SVT’s for many years. Made worse I believe by long term steroid use for bowel disease. The latest episode landed me in resuscitation Monday night after near two hours at home with 180Bpm. I know they can go higher than that. In the end I needed an injection (not adenosine as asthmatic), as the

Bleeding during sex
Had endometrial ablation May 2019 along with lots of other tests and smear due to occasional spotting between periods. Since the ablation I know roughly when my period is due due to breast pain and I get one but very light. Normally it is having sex that kicks this off. Last Friday 15th after quite vigorous

Fast heart rate after ablation for atrial tachycardia
Hi there, I had a catheter ablation for atrial tachycardia on Friday last week. The tachycardia I was experiencing had been exclusively brought on by exercise, particularly running. I haven’t yet gone back out for a run but today I had an incident where I bent down to pick something up and suddenly

Home Use Oximeter & Atrial Fibrillation
I've just bought a little gadget called an oximeter which as you may know clips on your index finger and measures your oxygen saturation level (normal range usually 95-99%). It's an inexpensive item and may not be completely accurate but gives a good indication of oxygen saturation level. I did this

RFAblation and Pacemaker
Can you have a radiofrequency
ablation
for afib (not
AV
node
ablation
) if you have a pacemaker (Medtronic 2017)? The PM is for sick sinus syndrome tacky brady? My afib is managed with Flecainide, Diltiazem and Xarelto but the EP wants to do an ablation, didn't say what kind of ablation.

Life after pacemaker and av node ablation
I had a pacemaker and
av
node
ablation
for AF about 4 weeks ago as my heart rate was constantly high in spite of maximum dose of Bisopralol. I still feel very tired and can sleep for 2-3 hours during the day as well as a normal nights sleep. Is this normal ?

Pacemaker to stop AF?
I do NOT mean the normal pacemaker implanted after
AV
node
ablation
. Would be grateful for information. I just found that possibility online a few days ago and a cardiologist in my hospital said it still is done but does not work on everybody (what does??).

Difficulty exercising
Following an
AV
node
ablation
(which has made me feel so very much better) I am really struggling with my efforts to go for a healthy daily walk - tight chest and enough breathlessness to feel a bit uncomfortable.

Three years later
I think its worth posting this as a bit of good news makes a change at the moment. I didn’t even notice this anniversary, but my daughter pointed it out to me; it is now three years since my mini-maze. I also had a catheter ablation for flutter and re-isolation of one of the pulmonary veins six months

What causes sudden intake of breath?
What causes a sudden intake of breath? A couple of years ago I started to suffer with a sudden sharp intake of breath. Basically I would be breathing normally and then suddenly take an uncontrolled sharp deep breath. I asked my cardiologist about this but he just said it was nothing to worry about. However

Amdipoline side effects
Anyone had adverse side effects from this drug? I was on Bisoprolol for 6+ years for high BP and had no probs. Then had an SVT/cardio version in December followed by a catheter ablation. Put on this new medication and have swollen ankles, face flushing, pounding in chest and then feeling cold and shaky

AFIB path forward in my Fav Heart hospital
EP Dr OV is history this Monday. AFIB is Persistent and with pain in the ATRIA. Solution consensus: 1. RF Catheter Ablation scheduled May 6th -33 days out, inside EP 🔬 Lab #1.... 2. CT - ‘A’ angiogram w/contrast Doppler color mapping April 6th inside same fav heart hospital. I can’t take my Abiraterone

Heart pain 3 months post ablation
Hi all! First post on this forum. Pleased to meet you all! Wonder if anyone has had similar experiences or can advise? I underwent a catheter ablation in January of this year for paroxysmal AF. Signs are that the heart function has improved despite what looks like ectopic beats showing on the ultrasound
