Heart pain 3 months post ablation
Hi all! First post on this forum. Pleased to meet you all! Wonder if anyone has had similar experiences or can advise? I underwent a catheter ablation in January of this year for paroxysmal AF. Signs are that the heart function has improved despite what looks like ectopic beats showing on the ultrasound

Adenomyosis new diagnosis
Hi everyone. I’m a bit nervous due to not understanding my situation and would appreciate any support with explanations as I’ve been told that they would want me to have biopsy and I’ve been put on Norethisterone till a decision is made which treatment as all others have not worked for me. I’m 43

WPW Syndrome and advice needed
HI everyone, I'm new to this and could really do with some friendly advice. I've been recently diagnosed WPW syndrome and was due to have catheter ablation yesterday, which was cancelled due to corona virus. I've been suffering for a few years with night sweats, palpitations, tiredness, swollen ankles

I have thyroid cancer 😢
Just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I had a TT for graves disease and results came back showing cancer of 2cm. It has spread to lymph node so will now have lymph node removal and RAI (once corona virus is over). My world has just come tumbling down 😢

A Fib Ablation Question
Afternoon all. I am a 59 year old man, I’ve had a-fib for over 20 years and used the pill in the pocket approach until about 3 years ago as I now have it persistently. I also had a TIA 3 years ago too. A catheter ablation last December worked for a while but the persistent a-fib is back. On apixaban

Ablation and dementia risk
Something I wasn't previously aware of is that catheter ablation raises the risk of developing dementia (see article below). Fortunately, warfarin and oral anti-coagulants offset that risk significantly so, after an ablation, it's wise

to think in terms of trying to get off them

Requirements for Cardioversion or Catheter Ablation
I am a male, 82 years old and have persistent permanent Afib for at least the last 5 years. I never had symptoms and still don't. My Afib was picked up in a routine check before a minor surgery. After seeing a cardiologist he confirmed the Afib as well as left ventricular heart failure with an ejection

Recently had a cardiac ablation
Ive been having terrible mood swings - I feel angry all the time and over the littlest things, I'm freezing all the time and I'm so tired. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience and what you did to ease them? I know that these are probably just side effects and will eventually

All Change and on List for Ablation - a post-cardiologist update

G68 scan changed my treatment plan
The kind Moespy here in the group suggested that I write a post about my upcoming treatment. My RP was in Dec 2017 and I was a Gleason 9...three positive lymph nodes and seminal vesicle involved. While my initial post-surgery PSA was a wonderful .009 it slowly crept up over two years to a .38 in Oct

Post Cardiac Ablation Floaters / Spots
Hi All, I received a successful cardiac ablation back in August, 2019 which involved trans-septal puncture. For the subsequent month, I experienced a number of visual aura disturbances without migraine (these have since subsided). However, 6 months later, I still feel like my vision isn’t fully back

AV Node Ablation
Hello I had an appointment last week with one of my consultants at Barts London. It is all what I know: 2 heart valves leaking Tricuspid and Mitral, enlarged left ventricle, dilated veins, moderate heart failure, persistent AF, super ventricular tachycardia. The AF is a nightmare now, I have had 4 ablations

Possible AV node ablation due to conflict between my pacemaker and my own cardiac electric circuit. Pacemaker for complete heart block.
Any chance anyone has had to make this decision. I'm finding all prescribed drugs are giving me horrendous side effects. I'm only being paced at 3.7% and feeling very reluctant to terminate my own electric circuit. If I have the ablation then I will be 100% dependant on the pacemaker. Is there by

AF/tachycardia is the chaotic irregular beat or the extreme fast beats the main problem?
My AF consultant wants me to have an
AV
node
ablation
which I have fought against for years, I have had 4 ablations obviously not worked but the AV node ablated is drastic So anyone can throw some light on my question is very much appreciated

Pericarditis after ablation?
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I had a catheter ablation on Monday this week following just 48 hours of AF. I had never had it before. Because it is hereditary they decided to skip most of the treatments and go straight for ablation. Afterwards I felt fine and my heart rate dropped from 140 to 65

Hi there I’m new here…. I live in Perth Western Australia and had Mitral Valve Prolapse …... sorry it’s a bit lengthy to read but I wanted to share my story. Has anyone had an endometrial ablation and it caused low estrogen? What did you experience? I had one a few months ago and I haven’t felt right since, I got an infection which I called my doctor 3 times about and ended up in the ER, I’ve been experiencing severe mood swings, hot flashes, bouts of crying
