Difficulty exercising

Following an AV node ablation (which has made me feel so very much better) I am really struggling with my efforts to go for a healthy daily walk - tight chest and enough breathlessness to feel a bit uncomfortable. I have to walk really slowly and it is deterring me from doing it, which is really sad. I have pace response on my pacemaker. Any advice on improving my exercise capability would be welcome. (I do go the local support group gym session once a week.)

I had my AV node ablation beginning of December I too felt tight chested I was also very tired and had bad headaches . It took me till christmas to totally feel normal ,but deep down it was more mentally what was holding me back as before my op it seemed like every time i moved my heart went into overdrive so it made me feel quite anxious ,I took a deep breath and told myself to pull myself together .these past 3 weeks have been fantastic ive stopped thinking about what used to happen and im really really enjoying my life back . just chill and go with the flow get out there and have fun

Agree with the previous comments. Nice and easy does it. Try and find a level path and try to get 30 minutes exercise, in the form of a walk, every day. Slowly but surely you should make gradual improvements.
