Update on 1st post, scared but glad to be alive!
Sorry it has taken a while to get back, So the phone call with the consultant was frustrating and disappointing to be honest. He started by mentioning the "very serious infection" I got the feeling that he thought I didn't know what it was, I said "yes, the Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis" I asked

A newly discovered disease may lead to better treatment of cystic fibrosis.
Cystic fibrosis is the most frequent severe inherited disorder worldwide. Living with Chronic Neuropathic Pain
There is much money in the pain and drug industry. Ethics and the recipients of these drugs do not factor into the bottom line. Profit and Loss Statements mean percentage increases at any cost. It is sad that chronic pain patients are made to feel like drug addicts and treated in a most callous way.

Covid19 and transplant patients
Hi all, hope you're all as well as can be expected. I haven't been around for quite some time now. I guess normal life gets back in the way eventually. Bit of background, I am a Liver Transplant patient, Kings College Hospital 2014, so coming up to 6th year anniversary. I've been doing well and got back

A Promising Drug for the Treatment of Severe Lung Inflammation in COVID-19 Patients.
Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine are the first sites in the nation to begin evaluating an investigational drug in two separate, FDA-approved trials: one to treat mild-to-moderate cases of COVID-19 and the other to treat severely ill COVID-19 patients. They are hopeful

Why can't I be happy?!
I feel I need to apologise about my post before I even start, as I'm sure it will sound silly and ridiculous. My husband had a stem cell transplant in January after being diagnosed with all last year. His counts are all good so far, he feels well in himself. I've recently had to return to work, so back

Help me win £1,000 for the BLF

Back in February I suffered another pneumothorax - my fourth in three years and worst to date. I was off work for 5 weeks in total and for a long time it looked like
