I haven’t posted in a minute last time i said that my dad was on bad road he was diagnosed with Covid in March and intubated he was hospitalized for 32 days he came home for a week then got hospitalized again for about 2 weeks with pneumonia and was intubated again and was in ICU and then came home for about 4 weeks getting to his regular self then got hospitalized again and admitted to the ICU and then reintubated again! Doctors called us for a family meeting and a visit they gave us little to no hope because he was having multiple organ failure! He is already a kidney transplant patient and his kidney was failing his lungs were failing and his heart was failing! His ejection fraction for his heart was at 25% regular people is usually at 55%! Cardiologist was saying they were treating his heart as it won’t get better! They said he would probably have to put a tracheotomy in and he would be ventilated for the rest of his life and he had a low possibility of surviving! and even if he does he would probably be on the tracheotomy his whole life ! My father is also 61 years about to be 62 in July! They really gave us no hope!
But now god willing after 19 days in the ICU he was finally admitted to the main floor with no Ventilator! He still has a tracheotomy but he is breathing on his own ! His cardiac ejection fraction rate is at 55% and hasn’t relapse l! His kidney is functioning well ! His lung xrays are way better! So i’m telling you guys if you believe in anything religious turn to it! God is alive and will be there ! I’m so thankful for you all for supporting me! I just want to spread the love and hope ! DONT LOSE FAITH!

That’s really good news it is so important for both your father and family to keep their spirits up. Obviously there is still a way to go yet and you will need all the strength you can muster. Try and find something to do for his birthday as I expect visiting will be on existing. It’s quite a downer, it happened to me twice and I could have visitors!
I was also 61 when I was in ICU with multiple organ failure, 1% chance of survival and I'm still here five years later. So good luck to your Dad with his continuing recovery, stay strong! 💪🙏 (and my birthday is also in July! 😊)
I’m so happy for you! I’m having a hard time with my dad being in the ICU. Today is day 24. He is stable but still on the ventilator. This gives me hope. Thank you for sharing.
just have faith! Him being on the ventilator is not all bad they just use it to let him breath while the virus takes its course! i hope he recovers well!
