My uncle got a double lung transplant September 11, 2020. He is currently in ICU. He had to have 2 emergency surgeries due to one of the lungs not working properly. He was put on an ECMO machine and ventilator. 2 days later they put him on dyalisis. I've been visiting him daily. It's so hard to see him

Meet the Liver Transplant Team
Hi, we have just got back from a face to face at Queens Medical Centre. They agree that Kevin needs a transplant and they are going to do everything they can to that end. However the cardio gram that was done isn’t any good so they are arranging and MRI as they need to know that his heart is strong

Study finds lung transplant patients not given antifungal preventive drugs have higher risk of death.
Antifungal preventive medications reduce mortality risk by half in the first year following lung transplantation, according to Mayo Clinic research involving 667 patients who received lung transplants from 2005 to 2018. PBC and progression
With having PBC, if you respond to the medicines, will you definitely still need a liver transplant say if you have PBC for 30-40 years? How much does Urso slow the progression since no matter what PBC always progresses?

Alan Hyde - QE Hospital Birmingham.
Many people who have received their liver transplant at the QE, will most likely know of Alan Hyde. TPLL
I want to thank you all again for welcoming me into your community. Mike's cancer diagnosis has been very unique. As has his treatment. I don't recall what I have already shared, but his actual diagnosis ended up being TPLL (Tcell Prolymphocytic Leukemia). His WBC count went from 432,000 on 9/30 to 530,000
