PSMA scan result
I have been diagnosed with mCSPC in May 2023 and been on Lupron for 3 months and Zytiga/ Pre since last 2 months. My PSA was initially 21.5 and as of last week is down to 0.3. I had my PSMA scan done again today and was hoping that some lesions in regional and distant Lymph nodes would be gone but

Is there a study using 100mcg of T3?
Hello everyone. Is there a study in which a group treated with t3 monotherapy receives at least 100mcg of liothyronine? I want to convince my doctor to increase my dose, and I noticed that he is only interested in studies. He thinks that even 60 mcg was a super high dose and he hardly wanted to give

My Pluvicto Journey is Over
I finished treatment #5 on August 10th with a PSA of over 400. But worse than that was what it did to my hemoglobin and Platelet counts. Last week my hemoglobin was down to 6.2 and after 2 units of blood it only rose to 7.8. Platelet counts drooped to 18k. I had a transfusion for both the platelets

Questions about rise in HbA1c
Hi, I started on prednisolone 20mgs on 26th January this year for 4 weeks, tapering 1mg every two weeks, currently on 16mgs (10 mgs am, 6mgs pm). HbA1c last August was 5.5% , result last week was 6% (42.0 mol/mol). My diet has been much the same throughout although I’ve been trying to reduce carbs further

PSA for PCa Awareness month
There's an App called Nextdoor and they're pretty much in all the cities, even this lil town. I posted on it for men to get screened as a Public Service Announcement for PCa Awareness Month. Many don't know that it's in September, but a whole lot more know that October is Breast Ca Awareness month.

long term omeprazole use
I was taking omeprazole for about 15 years and stopped in December last year, as I had done some research and found out it can affect stomach acid. No one told me to stop taking it. I don’t even know why I was put on it in the first place, up I think it was for IBS. I haven’t had any acid reflux or indigestion

Should I end active surveillance and treat?
I am 72 years old in fairly good health. Elevated PSA in the 5-7 range lead to a MRI which showed no abnormally and later a biopsy on September 16, 2022. The biopsy confirmed cancer in 6 out of 12 cores. All were G6 (3+3) with a t1c grade. Active surveillance was recommended by everyone which I totally

Generic Teriflunomide
Hi, I’ve been taking Aubagio for almost 6 years now and had been very pleased with the medication. Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy
Have contra-indications from multi-parametric MRI (4/2023) and latest serum PSA (4.4 ng/ml, 9% free PSA). SO recommends retest and another MRI in 6 months. Verifying that prev MRI did not include spectroscopy. Im thinking MRI w spectroscopy is the next step if it wasn't part of previous MRI.

In June, went over 2 & MO felt was castrate resistant. Stopped abi. and started Keytruda (I am MSI- high

Constantly bleeding / zoladex
I'm coming to to my 3rd shot of zoladex next week but for the last 5 weeks I've had 3 periods and all have been a week long. I had 5 days respite between 2 and my current period. I'm currently on day 7 and is not letting up, so don't know how much longer this 3rd will go on for. They aren't light,

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good Easter… I’ve recently found out I have a low ferritin level, I started to take iron supplements, but found out recently they are non-heme, I checked my ferritin levels again and they’ve dropped to 29, and my iron serum has started to slowly drop aswell, I’m not deficient

symptoms flare-up
I have been battling an iron deficiency since November, that seems to be a result of my correcting b12 deficiency with shots. I have not been taking the full recommended dose of iron until about a week ago. My ferritin is 25, which is up from 14, but still deficient. The last 3 weeks or so I have notice

New FDA approved genetic test to predict the chance of opioid addiction
I am concerned about the new genetic test AvertD just approved by the FDA https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2024/03/25/dna-test-opioid-addiction/ It uses DNA to predict whether a person is likely to get addicted to opioids. I can envision where doctors will require patients to take the test and

Homocysteine Nutrients
https://www.seekinghealth.com/products/homocysteine-nutrients I really like the sound of this product but I’m concerned about the B vitamins that are missing, namely B3 and B1. It also doesn’t have inositol, choline or biotin, although I don’t know how important they
