Have contra-indications from multi-parametric MRI (4/2023) and latest serum PSA (4.4 ng/ml, 9% free PSA). SO recommends retest and another MRI in 6 months. Verifying that prev MRI did not include spectroscopy. Im thinking MRI w spectroscopy is the next step if it wasn't part of previous MRI.

What do you mean by "contraindications"? MRS is rarely used but had some interest experimentally.

Contraindications = free PSA <10% (55% chance of malignancy for my age group) vs previous multiparametric MRI negative for PCA. Specificity for MRI is 38-93% or thereabouts, hence my interest in spectroscopic MRI. This technology has matured quite a bit over the past few years and it's my understanding that it's available at UCLA. Phased array receiver coils have provided impressive reductions in interference and noise. Choline:citrate ratio seems particularly useful in detecting malignancy.
