I'm crushed but it's time to stop.
We had a few of years having nice holidays and working hard before we started our treatment at Leeds fertility hospital. We self funded as we are a female couple and the consultant advised 3 rounds of iui and if that didn't work ivf would be available on the NHS. So we bought 3 lots of donor sperm and

Endometriosis
Hi my names Nikki, I am new to the group, I have been suffering with my cycle since I started at the age of 12yrs, I had very unpredictable cycles for years, some would last up to 3-6 months with no break, I would also get really bad cramps in my stomach with a really bad pressure pain and dull ache

Thoughts on IUI?
The clinic contacted us to arrange a consultation in early July, which is great, but it turns out that they only do iui, not ivf, which is much less great. I know that we're right at the beginning of the process, and that I still have to do some tests, but after that, I was hoping to go straight to ivf

Hi all, I'm new here and feeling rather nervous. I have my first NHS consultation at the hospital on Wednesday. We've been trying for a quite a number of years with no success. I'm just wondering what to expect at the consultation? What sort of thing will they ask, and do I need to make sure to ask

Is a HyCosy/HyFosy necessary (to check patency of tubes) to decide if another IVF cycle (PCSI) is worth doing? And- PCSI or IUI?
The NHS nurse I spoke to following my first and only IVF (ICSI) cycle said that there is no conclusive evidence that patency of tubes affects success of ICSI, the checking of tubes is only done if having an IUI (which is why the NHS Consultant didn't check them). Going elsewhere- With the knowledge that

Male Infertility-considering donor
Hi, Hoping i can get some info on this. I am still waiting my initial meeting with the consultant but based on previous tests i am already aware this might be our only option due to issues with my OH count. If we use a donor, how does this work, Is IUI considered as a IVF cycle therefore would this count

IUI before IVF
Our consultant mentioned privately having IUI while on waiting list for IVF on NHS. He then backtracked recently and said NHS don't support IUI. Does this mean if we try IUI before we won't be eligible for our only NHS IVF cycle? We really want to try this first but feel pressured to do IVF first. I

IUI Process
hi everyone, I have never written on one of these before - I'm in the process of IUI on the NHS (Early days) we have picked our donor and its been about 2 months, They said it can take up to three months. I'm just wondering what the next process will be? I've looked on line and know the basics but

Mounting costs
Can anyone help.. Me and my boyfriend are trying to find somewhere to have natural iui. We've both been tested and have the relevant paperwork. He has antibodies in his sperm and apart from that we are both ok. All the clinics we've tried want us to have various tests and consultations pushing the price

Anyone due to start IVF June/July? We can buddy up & support each other x
After another failed IUI we are moving on to IVF. Just wondered if anyone is due to start & we can support each other. I do have some great friends & family that know about the treatment but they don't really understand.

Hard Decision
Hey Everyone, Just an update really - AF has arrived today in full force after being 2 weeks late. We thought trying IUI first would give us a good chance of conceiving, but I feel selfish for saying this but I can't go on with anymore IUI cycles. I'm starting to lose all hope on this journey - 1 failed

DyeTest/IUI
Hi! I'm new to this and was hoping for some advice, also thought I'd introduce myself. We are 2 years into our journey. All our tests have came back normal and bloods etc are within normal ranges so we can't find an explanation for why we can't conceive. The Consultant wanted us to go straight to IVF

10 days late but negative tests
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well? It's a long weekend coming up. My 2nd IUI cycle was abandoned and my AF lasted for 4 days. My AF is 10 days late but I have taken 2 tests (Sunday and Wednesday) and they're negative. Is this normal? Is body getting back in to a natural cycle? Any help would
