Anyone due to start IVF June/July? We can buddy up & support each other x

After another failed IUI we are moving on to IVF. Just wondered if anyone is due to start & we can support each other. I do have some great friends & family that know about the treatment but they don't​ really understand.

Hi

I've just started norithisterone today to make my period come at the right time. I'm due to have my baseline scan on 22nd June and start injections then with ec planned for 4th July xx

This is my first IVF. I've had lots of rounds of IUI though so some of the procedure is similar. Not to nervous about that just the outcome as we're only having one round.

Are you NHS or private? Where are you having yours done. We're NHS but they will only fund us till I'm 40 which is next March so we've been pushing things though as quick as we could and to be fair the hospital have been brilliant and pushed it through quickly. Xx

We're NHS in Bristol​. Get 1 round of IVF. We were supposed to have 3 rounds of IUI but due to cysts, over response & under response we spent over a year doing IUI. Hoping​ our luck will change x

Well fingers crossed we are both lucky first time! My hospital currently fund three rounds but we'll never fit three in before March and they may be reducing it to two very shortly. Hopefully we both only need one. Xx

I hate this post code lottery. Our area was 2 then reduced to 1. But it is what it is. Miracles do happen so hopefully we'll get ours x

Yes it's unfair but at least we've both qualified for NHS funding for which I'm grateful. Have you got any rough dates for scans/egg collection etc yet? X

I start down regulation on Friday by mid July all will be done and dusted and I'll know where I am one way or another is the way I see it so it's one round of IVF first time at it one shot - see what happens!

Well on here the success stories seem few and far between but I guess mostly once successful people leave the forums... it only takes one tho hey

I think some people that have been successful do leave maybe they kinda feel guilty if you know what I mean.

We only get one shot. Just trying to stay positive. Like you said only takes one 😊

Hi! Due to start ivf in July but waiting to recover from surgery. Having laparoscopy in a couple of weeks to unblock/repair/remove tubes first (hydrosalpinx). I am anxious to get my timings right with the doctor referral and first few appointments at the ivf clinic so that the hardest bits of it can happen when I'm off work for the summer and not stressed 😬 But just focusing on one thing at a time right now as that's all you can do. Which clinic are you going to? Good luck x

We are in Essex and will go to the Bourn Hall clinic near us. We've met with them once already and they're very nice. Wishing you the best of luck with your first cycle x

Sorry to jump in here. I'm starting synarel (nasal spray) on the long day protocol in 3 weeks. It will be my 1st round. Similar to you ladies it's a mix of emotions xx

After our consultation we had a patient information meeting where everything was explained in great detail. We were told after the meeting just got to wait for next period then can start. We can be buddies if you like 😊

Hi there! Just dropping in to wish you all the best for your IVF. Like you, i started with IUI - had 3 unstimulated and 1 stimulated failed attempts then despite having IUI attempts left, moved onto IVF. First round January 2017 which was successful - currently 22 weeks pregnant. Stay positive and fingers crossed this can happen for you too! Lots of luck! 💖

Hi

I should be seeing my consultant this week and have had all my testing so ivf is apparently my next go to, even thou I wanted clomid.

I hated clomid! Made me so crazy! I was either crying or so angry I wanted to kill someone. I made a cup of tea & tried to put the kettle in the fridge instead of the milk then sat on floor crying. I was supposed to be on it for 6 months only lasted 4 as couldn't handle it.
