what’s next after teriparatide
What have people taken after finishing teriparatide? I have a potential problem now as my DEXA was due on Monday which would have given me time at least to discuss a follow on with the specialist nurse. But of course it’s been cancelled 😠 and I can’t get one till 24 October when I will have finished

It’s 24 hours nearly since I reported a positive test and I haven’t heard anything about
antiviral

NHS letter re COVID antiviral treatments
Finally got an email today advising that I’ve been identified as having a condition (ET) that qualifies me for a priority PCR test and
antiviral
treatment
in the event of a positive COVID test.

dental treatment and antibiotic cover
hi everyone just a quick update following my post about dental cover for those with prosthetic heart valves. As you know, my dentist was very reluctant to offer antibiotic cover even though I’m considered high risk for endocarditis (mech heart valve and previous endocarditis). I’ve had a bit of a battle

Covid antiviral treatment
I’ve got a positive PCR (lft was negative fri, positive Sunday, didn’t test sat), specialist nurse has said I am entitled to have the antiviral infusion but it’s up to me. I’m day 1 and have til day 5 to have it. Although I’ve felt like I’ve had illness coming on for nearly a week. Symptoms are mild

Having dental treatment whilst on warfarin
I am 78, male and take warfarin for atrial fibrillation. I have to have a wisdom tooth extracted and a gum deep clean because of gum disease. I will need to take warfarin as usual but am worried about the possibility of heavy and uncontrollable bleeding and also because the NHS dentist wants to perform

Dental treatment. Tooth extraction.
I (82years old) have mastocytosis. One of my teeth has to be extracted. Has anybody had any experience with local anaesthetics and the necessary medication for the procedure? Is there a dentist in London who would treat under the circumstances, private or NHS. I am quite desperate and very grateful for

Conclusion: Covid makes you ill if you’ve got an MPN but

Covid Antivirals Clarification.
I have enclosed a picture of the cohort selected for at home
antiviral
treatment
. The main thing I got back from all of the investigation is that no one will go without if they require the medical intervention.

Review of Top 10 Prescribed Drugs and Their Interaction with Dental Treatment
Yet another paper which hints at quite a bit - bit then is behind a paywall. If anyone has access, just knowing the outline of what they say could be very interesting. We have had many question the impact of thyroid issues on their teeth and dental treatment. [i]Dent Clin North Am. 2016 Apr;60(2):

The company has stopped enrolling people into its Phase 2/3 trial which failed to demonstrate that the

DRUG REPURPOSING - DOES IT WORK? by Dr. Simon Stott
Amantadine was originally developed as an
