Really bad DEXA scan result
Hi folks, I've not posted in a while but have used the time wisely - more about that later. You may remember I was being railroaded into a Zoledronic acid infusion without having a DEXA scan first-the GP insisted I'd need the infusion anyway after being on high dose Prednisolone for more than a year

I mentioned that the new treatment for covid were now available for people like me ie the antibody/
antiviral
treatment
but no one at the hospital was aware of this. The next day I contacted my GP and consultant rheumatologist.

I am new here so please do bear with me. I'm starting much needed dental as my teeth are crumbling & falling out. I've been on Lamictal since my first seizure in 2013 and now on 500mg (300am/200pm) Concerned about local used to freeze - There is data everywhere but only for GA. I'm having trouble

Zoledronic acid and dental treatment
Good morning all. It's been a while since I have been active on the forum but read it regularly and I am aware that there has been discussion about bisphosphonates and dental treatment. My PMR started 6 years ago and I have been on pred for almost as long. My GP prescribed AA but I was unable to take

Dental treatment abroad and travel insurance w/ asthma cover
My mum's due to go to Turkey for dental implant treatment. She has brittle asthma, albeit, controlled. I've found an insurer for the dental aspect, but they won't cover for asthma. Can anybody please give me any suggestions and guidance on what to do? Thank you.

Accessing Antivirals
Overall, I thinks there's still quite a lot of confusion out there so my advice is don't assume you'll get an
antiviral
just because you have an MPN, even if on active
treatment
- it seems not!

Dental Treatment
May need to have extractions soon, and i am a total coward and usually have sedation even for fillings . Wonder if anyone has been to the dentist while on chemo or on a PARP, if you had to go to a specialist dentist or have a referral from oncologist. I wasnt aware that I should have seen dentist prior

Trapped in my own private hell
I am so anxious. Been awake since 5am and it's now 2pm and I have had a bad year. Lockdown, lost my voluntary job Huge problem for about 5months with a doctor. I phoned everyone for advice and it did work out because I was 💯 correct. SHE (the doctor) phoned me twice to apologise because I was 💯 correct
