Anyway, I’ve been offered the antiviral treatment and wondered if anyone on here has had it?

I had Covid in August, felt ill, but not terrible for 2 days then recovered, without any antiviral treatment although I was due to have an infusion on day 3. By then my symptoms had almost gone. I'll see how I go on.Once again thank you all for your detailed advice.

COVID positive 21 days

My Haematology department haven’t really been much help with advice, except for telling me that I am not eligible for any more antiviral treatment.

Covid without Rituximab - Any Similar Experiences

When I went in to see my Consultant I asked if she had had any of her Rituximab patients who had caught Covid but hadn’t had either Antibody or Antiviral treatment and she said about half and they all got through it without hospitalisation apart from 1.

Covid & Antivirals

I tested positive for Covid on Saturday evening and I am having real difficulty in accessing antiviral treatment (I should be entitled to receive it due to immunosuppression). I had thought before getting Covid that it would be a very smooth system but that is definitely not the case!

Covid meds

Covid dispatch team just rang asking if I wanted to be prescribed antiviral treatment or if I feel my immune is fighting it? Sorry but how the heck do I know that??? I said I'm terrified given I'm still living with long covid from 2019. She said the meds have no impact on long covid.

Paxlovid Antiviral Treatment

After managing to avoid COVID until now (and I work in a department store!) I tested positive last Saturday. Antiviral treatment

Following my recent post, I had a phone call yesterday morning from a doctor at our local hospital to assess my need for the treatment. Yes, I needed it but unfortunately the tablets were not suitable because of an existing medication so I needed the infusion. Unfortunately, they had no more appointments

It finally got me…

It’s 24 hours nearly since I reported a positive test and I haven’t heard anything about antiviral treatment yet. Has anyone had any experience with getting this successfully? Thank you in advance xxx

I’ve got a positive PCR (lft was negative fri, positive Sunday, didn’t test sat), specialist nurse has said I am entitled to have the antiviral infusion but it’s up to me. I’m day 1 and have til day 5 to have it. Although I’ve felt like I’ve had illness coming on for nearly a week. Symptoms are mild

NHS letter re COVID antiviral treatments

Finally got an email today advising that I’ve been identified as having a condition (ET) that qualifies me for a priority PCR test and antiviral treatment in the event of a positive COVID test.

Antibiotics and dentist
