Blood Tests
Hi, I have weird asthma, am on maximum therapy and wondered what effect high dose
antihistamines
and prednisolone have on your blood test results. Every time I ask my consultant I'm told it's irrelevant, also is our medication taken into account when we complete breathing tests?

Hi! Just joined. Is there MG-lite?
I've lived with atopic dermatitis and multiple allergies all my life, which are controlled with local steroids,
antihistamines
and emollients. My mother had ankylosing spondylitis. Those facts, and my good response to prednisolone, convince me I have a autoimmune disease.

Feel in limbo
Contacted Dr with these symptoms and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner rang back and has prescribed
antihistamines
. I had mentioned that over the counter ones hadn’t worked and I am finding it difficult doing an extremely stressful job.I had a blood test in Sept, the results did go back to GP.

Tip about antihistamines
I looked it up and
antihistamines
(Zyrtec, Claritin, Benadryl, et al) can lead to weight gain. Both water retention and fat. How so fat? I can testify Claritin causes intense carb craving which I indulged enough to gain about 7-8 pounds in fairly short order.

My doctor has said that insomnia isn't a typical symptom of Hashimoto's hypothyroidism and will only prescribe drowsy

My Start Page - What I've learned and do now.
Some classes of drugs, especially anti-depressants and
antihistamines
, may make RLS worse. (In each class there are safe alternatives). 2. Do not waste time on 'treatments' or 'regimens' that have not held up to clinical or scientific scrutiny.

?? cobalt allergy
We will look into the possibility of using
antihistamines
I do wonder if we were dwelling too much on the Cobalt issue as common sense makes it obvious that there are small challenges from metals all the time.

Asthma flare up any advice?
I went back and forth to GP tried multiple
antihistamines
and was prescribed 5 day steroids, they helped the hives but not the wheezing. Since then the wheezing has been coming and going. Last Friday I got a sudden blocked nose and have come down with some kind of respiratory illness!
