Antihistamines
usually don't work. Recent trials have shown that bezafibrates can be effective for the itching. When taking bezabribrates there may be issues with renal (kidney) function. Donna's thoughts....

Hayfever medication ahead of stimulation round-worried!
In my usual IVF hyper vigilance ways 🙄 I have since read that certain
antihistamines
can reduce sperm count and quality so I'm panicking. He only took a half and hasn't taken any before or since but have we undone all our good work? I hope replies to this post helps others too.

Antihistamines and Prednisone, are they compatible?
I have mild symptoms, runny nose and teary eyes and so far haven't taken any
antihistamines
, but would it be safe to do so if symptoms get worse? I am on 4 mg for another month before attempting to taper to 3.5 mg, which has been my "sticking point" in the past.

Eye problem
I have been taking
antihistamines
for weeks. I have tried other moisturiser without paraffin or petrochemical derivatives because I suspected I might be allergic. Whatever I try isn't working. Anyone experienced this? I don't have hay fever. We have two cats but I am fine when they are with me.

Asthma and Allergies But Low IgE?
To say I was shocked was a total understatement as we were fully expecting it to have come back sky high given how badly I’ve been affected (and given how stronger
antihistamines
have helped!) Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Allergies and asthma but low IgE?

Pregnancy and steriods
I have mentioned this to midwives and doctors - both NHS and private and all said no to
antihistamines
and didn’t provide any other options. 3 weeks later, I ended up in A&E last night struggling to breathe. They did all the could but despite nebuliser couldn’t get the airways to open up.

Is it discoid lupus?
., very itchy and I take the prescription steroid cream to help, as well as
antihistamines
especially to sleep. I have not seen any sun for months. I was diagnosed with suspected SLE in 2019 and have been on hydroxy since. Does anyone else have something like this? Thanks!

Allergies and Fibromyalgia
I would also not recommend taking
antihistamines
unless you have confirmed allergies as unnecessary drugs cause even more side effects.

Paradoxical reaction to neuroactive substances
What was new to me is this also includes local anesthetics (like novocaine), sedatives,
antihistamines
, and some painkillers. Big "ah-ha" for me. I have always argued with dentists that the novocaine wasn't working, more than once going through a lot of pain to get a filling.

MPN and corticosteroids
He's now on a high level of
antihistamines
and a corticosteroids. Has anyone had any adverse bleeding reactions to these drugs? His platelets are high enough that Von Willebrand hasn't been ruled out. Alternatively, I've read that they can cause blood clotting.

Thyroid Results Advice Appreciated
I take
antihistamines
and they help somewhat and low his diet when feeling brave! Symptoms worse spring-tree pollen and Autumn but recently a continuum with grass pollen. The jittery feeling I used to blame thyroid, now I'm thinking it's histamine intolerance.

Flare up lasting weeks
Also this flare up has also flared up my allergy and I have had to start prescription
antihistamines
for the first time. I have googled what to do but I am doing everything listed that I could find. I also had a levo increase the last week of April so I'm even doing that.
