State of the art testing for PA?
I've been pursuing PA as a possible explanation for my numerous long term health issues, beginning injections on 6/3. As many here report, results have been mixed; apparent initial improvement followed by some issues worsening. I understand the mechanism of PA is presence of an antibody against Intrinsic

PA and Epilepsy and intrinsic factor
I have had Epilepsy for over 40 years, I was pretty much controlled, then I started falling over indoors, ok I'm used to that, but this was no fit, I thought it was my balance, after a couple of blood tests, I was told I had PA, one of the doctors in the practice, not my Dr, she wouldn't bother, she

Question regarding Injections.
Hello Everyone, I am having heart palpitations and loose stools for the last few months. Had 3 ECGS and couple blood test but everything is fine. Requested my GP to check my b12 levels which were low for couple of years (around 170 to 205 ng/L each year). The results came today and my b12 level is

Overdue
Hi I am overdue with my first baby by five days. I was recommended this Castor oil! The only place they sell is Holland and Barrett but on the back it says do not drink , so I’m not sure if it’s the correct one or not I have attached a picture. Hot curry I had for tea last night did not work any advice

Sebaceous cysts? Anyone know how to shrink them?
I removed a cyst on my head when I was a child and it simply grew back within one year. I find them so difficult to get rid of and I'm not sure how to; I can't keep having surgery. Does anyone know how to get rid of them naturally? I've tried castor oil and aloe vera with no success.

New GP seen today
Well I had my appointment with my new GP this morning and she said they had been told that they needed to put patients on oral b12 if they could absorb it from the gut. I took all the paper work and asked if she could read these BJH, NICE, PAS information sometime and that they stated about the intrinsic

New GP suggesting I don't meet criteria for B12 injections
I have just moved and my new GP tells me that I do not meet the criteria for b12 injections even though I have had them for over 9yrs every 2 months as I had neuro problems. She said as I did not have intrinsic factor I did not meet the criteria for injections. I had numerous symptoms for many years

Further update - GP agreed to give me injections!
Hi everyone! Hope you don't mind my continual posting I hope that my experience might help others who also come searching! I managed to get a face to face with the GP from last week and my mum wanted to come to as back up. She initially repeated that I didn't have it and that she could say "categorically

Doctors refusing to listen
Hi everyone, I made a post recently about my issues and waiting for my intrinsic factor test to come back and thought I would make the updated info into a new post. The intrinsic factor test came back negative (0) and I have now spoken to two doctors over the phone and my hematologist who say I don't

Waiting on blood tests for PA. Does this sound like anyones experience?
Hi everyone! I am a 22 year old woman who is currently waiting on results for an intrinsic factor blood test (and due to how uncomfortable I am it feels like its taking a lifetime!) but I wondered if I could ask if my experience sounds like anyone else so that I am as prepared with info as possible?

PA tests negative... how accurate are they?
After my PA tests came back negative, my doctor was convinced I had celiac. Got my results yesterday and celiac was negative. It's my understanding these tests are pretty accurate. They tested endomysial antibodies, transglutaminase IGA and IGG and they were all negative. The only odd thing that has

Could this be PA? And side effects of B12 shots?
Hi, I am new here. I have a Vit B12 deficiency but no anaemia, and because I am symptomatic, my GP has prescribed VitB12 injection 1 x month for 3 months. I am early 60s and have autoimmune Hashimotos thyroid disease, and take levothyroxine. My thyroid blood tests are all good. I have taken B12 oral

Endocrinologist test results - please help me! (And ferritin not going up)
Hi everyone, I received some blood test results from my endocrinologist. She had said in my last appointment that if these tests didn't show anything up then it's "just chronic fatigue". I've attached a photo of my results and wondered what you all thought. I know that she hasn't run some tests which

B12 injection dosage
I'm a 60 year old man living in the US. Despite always exercising & eating a very good junk-free diet, I have basically felt like **** every day of my life since I was about 20. No doctor has ever been able to do much to help me. I've recently had some testing which has indicated low levels of red blood
