Well I had my appointment with my new GP this morning and she said they had been told that they needed to put patients on oral b12 if they could absorb it from the gut. I took all the paper work and asked if she could read these BJH, NICE, PAS information sometime and that they stated about the intrinsic factor and symptoms and what the BNF says. Some how I think she may not read it but maybe and hopefully I am wrong, but that is the impression I got. She has agreed to let me have my injections until she has written to the gastro consultant at the hospital for confirmation that he feels I have PA. I am hoping he wrote all this down in my notes as it was over 9yrs ago. I will just have to wait and see what gets said. Thanks for all your support.

Good. Hope it continues. You were put on injections for a good reason in the first place!
I went for my diabetes review this week and was chatting to the nurse, She told me that all the doctors in the next door county (E. Sussex) had been told to put all their B12 patients on oral supplements. She agreed it was madness.
