Hypersensitivity post circumcision
Hi, I am on my 8th week at the moment, have had partial circum followed by frenuloplasty. Healing and all is going well and the hypersensitivity of glans is much reduced upto an extent that it won’t pain or discomfort in under garments or a slight tap. But any sort of sudden rubbing by hand or tissue

7th week post partial circumcision - Experience so far !!
Hi, I am on my 7th week post partial circum, I would like to share some of my experience just in case anyone here looking to go for Partial Circumcision. To start with I had severe phimosis and a mild Balanitis (haven't seen the glans in 35 years), so my surgeon suggested two options - full circum or

I started almost a year ago with this diagnosis, unfortunately. I had biopsies in February to confirm cirrhosis.
Since then I dropped 40 pounds, changed to low carb, walk a lot, drink coffee, take asparagus extract, milk thistle, vitamin e. Collagen, and Actos. Was hoping for lower number, but progress is progress! Down to NASH 3 and 33% of my liver. Not sure what the numbers on the right mean?? I weigh 125

Natural remedies and food supplements
This is mainly a personal view of the usefulness of these for RLS, but is based on some reading. I hope it is a balanced view. Hopefully it offers some guidance for when you're choosing remedies. The 3 main things you should find out about when choosing a remedy. 1) EFFECTIVENESS : does it actually

Interesting summary of PA on nhs website
I read the following paragraph to a nutritionist and I think they didnt believe it. I have PA but also suspected chronic pancreatitis in spite of healthy pancreas in scans, no pain, bloating or weight change. I want to supplement with acid in a healthy way with their advice. They've said - do not take

Updates/Questions
Just had my 6 month check- anxious for scan in a few weeks! I have taken a low dose Actos for the last 6 months and am anxious to see if my Nash score comes down. My doctor mentioned a new diabetic drug that is out that is supposed to work better on fatty liver than the Actos, but I can’t remember

D-dimer & Dangerous Blood Clots
I have posted quite a lot about the importance of D-dimer in the past 5+ years, but the recent post from 5_plus_4, "
I almost died Tuesday
" had me thinking that perhaps some basic information on coagulation issues needs to be reposted periodically, particularly for new members. No-one should die

Possible explanation for lack of hepatic B12 storage
I've seen a few posts on this forum regarding the seemingly inexplicable variations in B12 dosing schedules needed to keep different individuals from experiencing signs of deficiency. Furthermore, it seems that every MD believes one should store enough B12 in the liver for lengthy periods of time without

Intrinsic factor test
Hello all. I have found a very reasonably priced intrinsic factor private lab test. Do I have to stop B12 injections before taking this test? I SI EOD which has saved me from being totally bed ridden, which I was for three months. Thank you

More advice needed.
I wrote to the practice manager as advised, about the lack of treatment. Ive just had a text message saying i dont have b12 deficiency anaemia as my haemoglobin and mcv levels are normal, and the guidlines i quoted pre date covid, and they have been told tratment has to be oral cyanocobalamin. She

MY B12 result 183 (range 180-640) all else OK incl intrinsic factor. GP won't treat unless B12 lower than 150, despite my having neurological symptoms, muscle fatigue and lack of appetite. I feel really quite unwell and not sure what to do. I've started B12 sublingual myself at 1000mcg. Father and

well....(deep subject)... my PSA has gone up (again) and is now ALMOST 1000. It's 980.0 My platelets having dropped to 6,000. I was prepared to argue with my oncologist about doing the chemo (Jevtana) that she has me scheduled for again on Thursday...but, alas... there was no argument. She concurred
