Just had my 6 month check- anxious for scan in a few weeks! I have taken a low dose Actos for the last 6 months and am anxious to see if my Nash score comes down. My doctor mentioned a new diabetic drug that is out that is supposed to work better on fatty liver than the Actos, but I can’t remember what it was. He won’t prescribe it because it causes weight loss and he doesn’t want me to lose anymore unfortunately. Anyone have success with any of the diabetic drugs? Also, I added artichoke extract daily - any thoughts on this? (I was a 15 on fibroscan, stage 4 Nash, biopsy confirmed cirrhosis). Still no pain ever, but recently dealing with gas pains?

No personal experience but he probably meant semaglutide which was recently approved for weight loss. It has had some good results reducing fatty liver but more work to be done for NASH.
