My first psychiatrist did me dirty
So I just need to vent here. It took me half a year to find a doctor/psychiatrist who would listen…. And it shouldn’t be that hard…. One of the failed attempts was when I went to my first psychiatrist and explained to her what I struggle with. Didn’t stretch the truth, just said it like it is. She then

Is it hypothyroidism and not ADHD?
I had been diagnosed with hypothyroidism several years ago and was on Synthroid. I am not sure how it happened, but then I was told my thyroid "corrected" itself and no longer needed to be on it. At the time, I trusted my doctors and didn't know what I know now. I was not doing well at all, but had no

I spoke to my doctor first, who, guess what, gave me
antidepressants
. I told him I need to speak to someone rather than pop pills and I was put on a waiting list to see someone, but after 4 months, I decided to go private.

Why do I feel so bad?
I have been on my
antidepressants
for 24 years. I was taking 25mg in the mornings and 25mg every other night aswell, but then I changed it and now take it every night. Because I still wasn’t feeling well, I have added another 10mg to my dose.

How do you switch to NDT
My doctor won’t prescribe it for me and just tries throwing
antidepressants
at me every time I see him.I’ve been on levo for a good 18 years and only rarely have I felt well 🤔 I’m now on HRT as well after arguing I wasn’t depressed and my symptoms feel hormonal.

My latest test results, advice urgently needed
Struggling with severe depression, (
antidepressants
seem to be ineffective), extremely dry skin, dry hair, hair loss, tiredness, achy joints, cold hands and feet. On most days I feel like I'm 80 and about to die.

I hate wrapping presents
Just popped my antidepressant for the night. Standing at the counter wrapping presents and I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach. I've had it alot lately. I have no idea why. Well maybe a small one. I continue to think about the fact that I retire from the navy in two years, will be 40 in two

3 weeks into my antidepressants
Starting to feel moments of detachment from the environment around me. Also moments during the day when I feel weak and nervous and a bit shaky. My doctor thinks its a magnesium deficiency but I think it's a side effect from either my ADs or blood pressure tablets. Or both. On a positive note my anxiety

New depression sufferer here
I have increased my
antidepressants
and have seen a therapist on Monday. I start a new job next week and I’m scared I’ll never be happy or be loved as I’ve never felt loved. Depression is the worse thing.

Antidepressants for IBS
I have been given sertraline to take as my anxiety has become much worse since starting to have IBS symptoms. Has anyone tried these do they help without making IBS worse. I've only taken a small dose and seems to have triggered diarrhoea 🙄

Where do I go from here?
I have been given HRT patches and
antidepressants
to treat my peri menopause/ anxiety which I have not taken as I believe this is not the case…. After extensive research I keep coming back to pituitary/ adrenal issues (hypopituitarism) central hypothyroidism (pituitary) and Cushing’s.

Will coming off fluoxetine stop RLS?
If anyone on this forum has experience of coming off
antidepressants
and getting improvement in RLS that would give me hope to try again.
