Angiogram and anticoagulant!
Hi “all”, I got a surprise in the post yesterday. An appointment for an angiogram on 9th March. I am on a list for an ablation sometime this year so I am thinking the angiogram might be a precursor to this. The instructions say I am to stop taking my Lixiana on 6th which worries me somewhat, as I get

Query regarding anticoagulant and CD
As anyone had problems with their CD when taking anticoagulant Edoxaban? Have had several flare ups since changing from warfarin to Edoxaban over the last few weeks, but am told there can be no connection. Just seems a strange coincidence.

New on Apixaban - so many questions!
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with DVT (clots in my thigh) on Monday and was put on apixaban. It started with coming back from a long haul flight, then I broke my foot two days after which made me immobile and was told to rest and keep my foot elevated, which then caused DVT - I had severe, cramp-like

Pbc and Lupus link
Hi, I’ve been diagnosed with pbc for about 5 years now. Just recently I’ve had a positive result for Lupus anticoagulant. Anyone else on here also have Lupus? If so what tests led to diagnosis?

Odd legs
I am fairly certain that I don’t have a DVT as no swelling, no cramp like pain, no other indications either but.... My left leg has a type of numb feeling and feels totally different to my normal right leg. When I walk it is very odd. As I am now being investigated by neurology again as they found

Changing fom Warfarin
Can anyone tell me if , after being on warfarin for 7 years, is it possibl to change to one of the new blood thinners, in safety? I am so weary, with all my other health issues, of having to monitor everything I eat and the monthly, often fortnightly blood tests.

Riveroxaban
On starting Apixaban I immediately got numbness in my feet and lower legs. I changed to Riveroxaban but the uncomfortableness is still there. Cardiologist doesn’t think the medication is to blame but it’s seems such a coincidence. The pain is worse when I wake up in the morning. I would like to change

Low body weight and anticoagulation
Hi, diagnosed with Paroximal AF 4 years ago, TAKE 1.25 bisoprolol, low dose because of naturally low heart rate (52bmp). 75 year old female with no comorbities and very fit and healthy. I worry about taking anticoagulation because of my weight ( 52kg) apixiban would be my choice, I read on the literature

Bisoprolol!!
When you are diagnosed with AFib, then it is absolutely necessary to take blood thinners for as long as you have the problem, as blood can pool in the heart chambers and produce a clot. I take Elequis and was also formerly on Pradaxa (dabigatran). Both are excellent drugs with no side effects and little

Positive but constantly feel due on
Hope everyone is doing ok. I was lucky enough to get a positive test last weekend after my 5th transfer but since then and especially today I constantly feel due on with mild stomach cramps and that heavy feeling in my legs. I've had 2x positive tests before, the 1st ending in a missed miscarriage

Blotches...Splotches...?
I used to get these spots often on arms and legs when I was on lots of methylprednisolone, I mean like 120mg to 60mg per day. I have been tapering and am now taking 12mg per day. These were not there this morning...just took a shower and was surprised to see them on both arms and quite an assortment

Extreme Fatigue with APS?
I was just reading an older post about someone with APS and extreme Fatigue. I was just diagnosed with APS. Also test for Lupus which was negative. I'm on Warfarin which INR is kept in 2.0 to 3.0 range (read many of you stay in 3.0 to 4.0 range). I'm 60 years old and had two PEs in last 2 years before
