Pride comes before a fall! Anticoagulant thoughts.
I have an appointment with my GP next Monday to discuss
anticoagulants
. I only score 1 for being female, so haven’t gone on them yet but, in view of the length of the latest episode, I think I need to have that discussion.

when to take tablets
I have had my thyroid problem since 1992 and when I was just taking my thyroxine , when to take it was not a problem. Now I have atrial fibrillation and have to take 1/2 tablet of Apocard with a blood thinner 12 hours apart with food. I also have to take a beta blocker with food but not with the Apocard

oh what fun!
I get them since I was in my 30’s, and because if the
anticoagulants
, bleed quite profusely for a little while. This morning I thought I would check my bp at the same time, to prove him wrong.

Anticoagulant Versus Bleed Dilemma
Just want to say a big thank you to everyone who's taken the time to respond to my initial post. I had no idea it would initiate such interesting and useful debate.

I'm wondering if I really do need to continue with Rivaroxaban 20mg. Diagnosed about 15 years ago with paroxysmal AF and an ablation 13 years ago, I haven't actually had a bout of AF for over two years. I only experience ectopics and even they have reduced since taking magnesium and CoenzymeQ10. I'm

sorry a pretty minor thing but freaked me out. Severe nose bleed with very high bp and on blood thinners. How do folk cope with this it’s only happened once before couple of months ago eventually stopped after hour and half. This time I was on my own the familiar rush of warm stuff pouring out nose seems

hi all, just a quick question you might be able to help me with. Is it normal feel so tired and worn out, I’m still breathless but no worse but I find everything a effort to do, I was tiding up nothing to energetic but I’m wiped out. It is normal when you’ve got blood clots in your lungs and on blood

Diagnosis - What to expect?
Hi, I was diagnosed with Sjogren's and auto immune hypothyroidism in 2017, currently taking 10mg methotrexate, I have suspected I have lupus too for a while, but lack of doctor appointments due to Covid and their general disinterest when I did have an appointment meant I carried on with no formal tests

Erythritol has been linked to blood clotting, stroke, heart attack and death
Purified stevia leaf extracts (Truvia, PureVia, others) use this artificial sweetener and I was wondering how this would affect those on blood thinners, like Warfarin, who must maintain a certain pro time level. There was a study done in Cleveland and reported widely with some unexpected results. I

Winter bug
I seem to have contracted a respiratory infection and wondered what medication is suitable for my symptoms bearing in mind I take
anticoagulants
. Paracetamol is pretty useless for the sinus pain and steam baths aren’t helping clear my constantly banging head especially on waking .

Chest 'pain' and anxiety - it's back and I hate it!
Hello crew, and hope those that watched the Crowning business enjoyed the ceremony today. Since about 6pm last night (after a day sitting quietly at my desk at home) I've noticed a return of what I've called the 'biting' in my left chest - a little nagging 'pain' that branches to my left armpit and

Stroke v Bleed risk.
For this reason people on
anticoagulants
are recommended to seek medical attention in the event of a head injury. What I learnd today was that only 15% of all strokes are haemorrhagic (bleeds) and this does include all the thousand of people who take
anticoagulants
