hi all, just a quick question you might be able to help me with. Is it normal feel so tired and worn out, I’m still breathless but no worse but I find everything a effort to do, I was tiding up nothing to energetic but I’m wiped out. It is normal when you’ve got blood clots in your lungs and on blood thinners?. I have zero energy, or is a mixture of anxiety it seems to come over me in waves, I just feel so out of sorts, only been on my meds for 3 days, will things pick up?. Thank you for reading. Take care
so tired: hi all, just a quick question... - Lung Conditions C...
so tired
Hello again, Cimmy. Any lung disease will make you tired. Your body is coping with a lot. As I mentioned your system will be going into overdrive to clear out the clots. And the breathlessness takes its toll as well. Rest as much as you can, be gentle with yourself, give it time.

I don’t have any knowledge of blood thinners,,but I know when I have medication changes,I can struggle a bit
Last month I had Togo on blood pressure tablets, along with the other medication,I’m on.
I’ve not had major problems, but I’ve been more tired than usual
I feel tired a lot of the time. My brain just shuts all systems down and I go to sleep. A thorough nuisance, but there's not much I can do about it.
my body just shuts down very abruptly and say enough is enough. So I lay down and sleep it off, your right that’s all you can do, your body is in charge . I just wish I could begin to feel better but it’s only 4days since diagnosis and meds, so I’m sure it will take time
Your body will gradually start to feel better and shut down less often. There always seem a lot of dreary chores to get on with then. Try to ignore them and do something nicer. Took about ten years to convince spouse that this was down to lack of oxygen, not bone idleness.
When your body has something wrong with it, you just get shattered. Doing too much when this happens is a mistake, you just have to let it take it's course.
hello Cimmy
I too struggle with tiredness and my body feels like it’s just shut down. Looking at the replies to you has helped me understand a bit more about it so thank you so much for asking the question
I hope you soon get used to your meds and start to feel better
Take care

This is a great question. I also struggle with tiredness a lot of the time. I am still trying to figure out how to balance things out, so I don't shut down so much. It helps to know this is part of the lung disease and my tiredness is similar to others. I try to be grateful for what I can do and for the healthy parts of my body. 😊
i to are on blood thinner's and have cops.get very tierd have to pace myself. i am also on oxegen when i need it, we just have to pace ourselves its hard to accept but should not fill guilty hope your meds work and you get good days as well like me .
Hi Cimmy, as people are saying when you have lung disease tiredness is all part and parcel of of it. Need to be kind to yourself and rest when needed. I am on oxygen 24/7 at the moment since mid December last year. I've had to rethink how I do things and pace myself. as even the tiniest thing like preparing vegetables can take a lot of effort. Anxiety in itself plays an enormous part as it is so draining and as you say whenexhaustin hits you, it can come over in waves. Try to do too much at once. You are not alone. x
Meant to say 'Try NOT to do too much at once - one step at a time.
