Stopping blood thinners after having a stent
Hi everyone, The Doctor has advised my dad to come off his blood thinners which he was put on after having a stent due to a blockage in his artery, he has said to stop them because his stomach is too delicate to handle the blood thinners and it's causing ulcers, my dad's worry is now that he is off them

Paxlovid with Eliquis
What is the latest advice on taking Paxlovid for Covid if you are on an anticoagulant? Do you need to stop it or just be extra careful of bleeding or not take Paxlovid at all? I know you need to stop your statin drug while on it.

Multiple arrhythmias
I have now been told by EP that I have a number of different arrhythmias which probably explains why various rhythm control meds have caused other arrhythmias and not been effective . The ablation I had earlier this year helped and i am mostly in sinus rhythm. Only taking blood thinner and sotolol PIP

blood thinners
hello all, I woke several times in the night and had blood in my mouth, quite a lot , this happened before when I was on full dose blood thinners , just wondering if anyone else gets this. I’m assuming it comes from bleeding gums but is it normal on blood thinners.

cancelled procedure
Hi everyone just to update you all, I had a blood test on Monday which was needed to check everything before my procedure on the 25th . Had a phone call yesterday and was told since December my red blood cells had been going lower over last three blood tests. Because of the blood thinner I would need

Health News: Nourishment for Eyes
When my Mom was 6, an Alsatian (German Shepherd) dog jumped up on her, jarring her head round to look, left her with a cast in her right eye. Known as strabismus, the ancient Greek for squinting. More accurately, it means the affected eye can’t really focus and can thus appear as a cross-eye. Off her

Medications that react with sunlight.
When on Doxycycline I was aware that sunlight should be avoided and a recent post by Mellywelly mentioned making the skin go brown and patchy. I have noticed this recently during the hot spell even though my time in the sun is limited and I am not taking Doxy. I do have quite a list of other medications

hi all, I’m in the U.K. I don’t have a specialist just GP and a nurse anticoagulant clinic I visit. Are U.K. APS patients on warfarin suppose to have a heparin injections supply at home for emergencies when inr too low. The nurse said it’s a good idea since pharmacies don’t usually have in in stock
