Doctors visit post blood tests
Hi. I have just been to the doctor's to discuss the blood results I recently posted on here. I'm getting celiac test done and he has put me on vitamin D. He said to take a multivitamin to improve my folate level. He thinks my symptoms are down to taking too much levothyroxine, he said I should reduce

Dominant follicles in one ovary....
Hi everyone - hoping for some advice/experience... I'm on my second egg collection at 44. AMH was 12.07 in March and was pretty elated as meant my egg reserve should be okay ... However, my first scan they said I had 10 follicles but my FSH was a bit too high at 12.2 but they thought that was due to

First IVF cycle - blocked tubes
Hi there, We're just about to do our first IVF cycle in the next few weeks and I'm getting really nervous and afraid it won't work! I'm 38 and my husband is 40, I had really high AMH levels so we got tons of eggs at the extraction phase but it quickly whittled down to around 8 or 9 viable embryos.

IVF stims cycle - do I have to wait for Stork?
Hi everyone, I appreciate this is a pretty niche question, but I'm throwing it out there on the off-chance someone here has been through similar. As a bit of backstory, I had a failed stims cycle in Feb and the plan with my clinic has always been to do my next cycle in June. I've had various delays

What to take for pain?
Hi. I have adult onset asthma and also have lower back pain and costochondritis plus migraines. I usually just deal with it but have a trip coming up and wanted to bring something just in case the pain becomes unbearable with all that sitting. I keep reading NSAIDS are contraindicated for asthma. Does

Taking Urso
Good morning, everyone! I have a question about Urso. Is it fine to take your Urso in one dose instead of two? I never forget mornings. I also have no reactions to taking it so far after two and a half months. I also have a question about bone density tests. I have found a former student who

I am a doctor who got interested in RLS over 6/12 ago when my wife's RLS went crazy when she was trying to use Phenergan (sedating antihistamine) to sleep. After a couple of sleepless night she was a mess and complained "And there is no treatment for restless legs!!". I thought that could not be right

Using flexiseq - tips please
I have recently been discharged by my rheumy, despite my crippling knee pain which he thinks is OA. I am still on half mg pred, and take blood thinners so can't take NSAIDs. I'm waiting for an XRay result. Lovely people on here have suggested I use Flexiseq. I have just started to use it. No noticeable

Hi there,I had a heart attack (congested arteries) and a stent fitted last year. On the usual cocktail of meds. My back has started playing up and at night I find that if I take two OTC cocodamol it can help me sleep. Is this permitted? I know I can't take NSAIDs but not sure about cocodamol. Paracetamol

Information on psoriatic arthritis
Hi, I'm in new to psoriaitc arthritis, my gp suspects I have the early stages of it and I'm likely to be referred to rheumatology. I just need more information about treatment, progression, diagnosis methods, people's lived experiences? I feel young to be looking at a diagnosis of arthritis, I can't

Confused about the NHS process for IVF
Hello My husband (age 37) and I (age 32) have been referred to the local infertility service via my GP in Leicestershire. My husband has severe oligospermia, so we were told by the embryologist that we would need ICSI. Also, my AMH is only 9pmol/l. I'm confused about what happens next... I've been

iron supplements
hello! I wondered if anyone could recommend an iron supplement that has no nasties in? The GP suggested I go on it because I’m slightly anaemic. I am very careful with other supplements to not have additives that might trigger the AF (like B12, Vit D etc) but can’t seem to find an iron supplement that
